Upcoming Changes to the Fantasy Flight Games Forums   01/20/2017

Hello Fantasy Flight Games forum community!   This week, we will be making some important changes to your Fantasy Flight Games community account and the way that you log into the Fantasy Flight Games community forums and web store.   We have been working hard to integrate with the rest of the Asmodee group, and we are happy to announce a unified way to access all the websites and apps made by Fantasy Flight Games, Days of Wonder, and Asmodee!   For most users, nothing will change: you will still log into the Fantasy Flight Games forums using your current login name and password. Only the login user interface will be new.   For a few users, your credentials might be slightly changed. For example, this could happen to users who have both a Fantasy Flight Games and Days of Wonder account, or in the case of conflicting login names across platforms. When these situations occur, special e-mails will be sent to those users with an easy explanation about those changes and what steps to take next. For any of you receiving those e-mails, please make sure to follow the instructions carefully.   Remember, official communications from Fantasy Flight Games or Asmodee.Net will never ask for your password.   What are the benefits for you as a player? Using a unified account to access all of our web services and apps makes your life simpler. Over time, you will see new features emerging, such as keeping all of your friends under a single account, finding friends easily in apps with online play, or developing your personal profile by adding to your board games collection. These are just some of the features that you will see during the next year, once this important technical step is complete.   Important note: The migration of the forums to our new system will take place on Tuesday, January 24th. The forums will be offline for about two hours during that time. Once the migration is complete, older forum posts may look strange for up to 24 hours as we rebuild them in our new system.   We can’t wait to connect our board game communities and build bridges between universes, game systems, players, events, groups, game clubs, and more! This is only the first step in bringing people and games closer together. For more information, read our FAQ at https://asmodee.helpshift.com/a/asmodee-net/.   Best regards,   The Fantasy Flight Games Team

The crew in my game...

27 posts in this topic

I see your crew has the same problem mine does... no humans.   It makes Imp checkpoints rather interesting, to say the least.  Yous seem a bit "newer" though, as I don't have any guys from the new book.  All mine are from core.  (I think we only had one guy die, and he wanted a Gand).

Good work on the toons!

On the full version, does it have races (species) you pre-select from and then design from the base?  Or did you have to completely build the sullustan from scratch?  If it had pre-select races, were there more star wars races to chose from?  Like if I wanted to make a weequay, or the 3-eyed cow face (gran)?

Yeah we just started up the campaign so we had the benefit of the newer races/specs.

Oh yeah, no humans will be interesting. Though I'm actually happy the players embraced the weirdness of Star Wars as much as they did.

Yeah, its a really complete online builder. Its totally free, their is no full version since its always being updated. But you do have to build most things from scratch. I've been using it for years so I have the advantage of practice when it comes to say making a Sullustan face.

Its designed to be used for superhero building, but a lot of fantasy/svifi stuff has been added in. So there is a Wookiee head, a Gamorrean head, something that looks a lot like an Ithorian head, a very Mon Cal looking head, Twi'lek and Nautolan looking head tails, etc. Some very SWish weapons. Just takes some looking around and tweaking.

Weequay would be easy, Gran harder but I'm sure doable. Edited by The Human Target

There's a bunch of muppets in my group too. I'm the only Human so I own the ship, the droid player is my translator, the Twi'lek is my personal dance instructor and the wookie is my towel boy. Makes for some funny conversations.

who wants to play a Human?! i get to be one of those the rest of the time!

If the game is set at the height of the Empire, it makes sense to play a human, or at least something that can pass for a human if you aren't paying attention.

The crew I have started with a Zeltron, Twi'lek, Jawa and a Dashade. They only recently added a human into the crew; there was a Cathar, but the player dropped out.

The group is realizing that they aren't as well loved, but they really love playing up on the language barrier (as the Dashade and Jawa are unable to speak in Basic), so I guess it's a win-win.

Sure, if you want to be the kind of character who doesn't have problems--what's fun about that? :)

This is true, but sometimes you need at least one bloke or lass able to sneak into the high faluting shindig to get the cargo the party needs to afford getting off a particular rock. The same can be true of any alien species, really, but with "Human High Culture" running amok, it's usually useful to have one human around.

All my player PCs are human, mostly because the fact that the game is set in the SW universe is more of sidebar for them.  They don't love it like I do, so I have to tone certain aspects down.

There's plenty of room in Hutt Space for an entire campaign, and that area is mildly anti-Human, so the benefits of having Humans is going to vary greatly from game to game.

My next game - based upon a pair of bounty hunters and their expert associates - will be operating primarily within Hutt Space and will have to keep this in mind. Humans will be a boon when interacting with Imperials, but will often be a hindrance to other interactions within Hutt Space.

Sorry, when I opened the link, there was the app you pointed to, and another window right next to it asking for money, for what I thought was the same app.  I figured the one was a demo.   I should have paid more attention.  Now that I know this, it's time to go poke around a bit more.

I love Heromachine and have used it for years!

I always noticed the Star Wars bits but never actually tried making anything from them.

So I messed with it and made a pic of "Fixer" my Gand Gadgeteer, for funsies.  For the head, I took a traditional "Grey" alien head, widened it, went with the fly-eyes, and added the respirator on top.

That reminds me of a Necron Pariah. From a certain point of view.
