Shooting through TWO (2) asteroids. 1 or 2 extra evade dice?

That's the question.  It doesn't happen very often, but it did our last game.  Would the ship getting shot at get 1 or 2 extra evade when the LOS goes through two obstacles?

The question, in essence, is whether you get +1/Obstruction, or if you get +1 because it's obstructed. I'd lean towards the former, but would have to look at the back section of the rulebook first.

IIRC, the attack is simply considered 'obstructed', no matter how many asteroids your LOS crosses.

 

Pretty much the same happens when your movement template overlaps more than one obstacle in the same movement. You roll only one damage die for all of them.

 

Thus, the answer is only one extra green die.

Only one extra defense die regardless of the number of asteroids in the way.  You could still get a second extra dice if the attack was also at range 3 and with a primary weapon.
