It went as planned to start with, taking out Backstabber first, but the Imps put up a good defence. BSP2 went down in flames first for the pirates and then Howlrunner used her innate Squad Leader abilities handing a target lock to her bomber mate and holing BSP1 with a great missile shot. There was no looking back for the Imps, who hounded Krassis until he limped home having only taken another tie with him. Imps win. Long live the Empire!!! Englishpete 1,379 Posted December 19, 2013 (edited) Black Suns vs Rebels. SYSTEM: MAYAGIL Sector WINNER: Black Sun DATE PLAYED: 2013-Dec-19 REBEL PLAYER(s): rwhiffen REBEL SQUAD LIST(s): Wedge Antilles, R2-D2, Marksmanship Jan Ors, Blaster Turret, Nien Nunb, Moldy Crow Dutch Vander, R5-K6, Ion Cannon Turret BLACK SUN PLAYER(s):Englishpete BLACK SUN SQUAD LIST(s): Gold Squadron Pilot, Ion Cannon Rebel Operative, Blaster Turret, Recon Specialist Rebel Operative, Blaster Turret, Recon SpecialistOuter Rim Smuggler, Saboteur, Anti-Pursuit Lasers The rebels have learned that the Black Sun are trying to rest control of the Mayagil Sector from its currently neutral government and have set up a meeting with some local villainy in a remote part of the sector. The rebels have sent in a force to ensure that the Black Sun delegation never makes it to the meet point and that Mayagil comes over to the rebel side in what would be a major shift in power in that whole area. The rebel force dropped in system to find the Black Sun just entering the sector, both squads started to drift forwards towards the enemy. The initial exchanges saw a Black Sun Hawk and Y-Wing take significant damage and Jan Ors go down in a blaze of fire, with Wedge stripped of shields and taking 2 damage. The two factions split apart to gain position and Wedge was able to replenish 2 shields. The Black Sun Y-Wing and second Hawk were to fall next, but the Rebel Y-Wing caught a range 1 shot from the Outer Rim Smuggler causing it to lose it's remaining hull. Wedge now closed in on the Outer Rim Smuggler who was on 5 hull, but the smuggler had a nasty surprise for him. Moving into range one with his move the smuggler unleashed his saboteur and got the needed hit. Wedge already had 2 damage cards, we flipped one to reveal 2 damage and Wedge exploded in a ball of flame. (we looked and both cards were 2 damage, what are the odds.) "This is Black Sun Four to Xizor. Mission accomplished. The bargain is made. Suffered heavy losses, but inflicted similar on the Rebellion. Mayagil is ours. Black Sun Four out." SYSTEM: BREMA Sector WINNER: Black Sun DATE PLAYED: 2013-Dec-20 REBEL PLAYER(s): rwhiffen REBEL SQUAD LIST(s): Red Squadron, Proton Torpedoes Green Squadron, Push the Limit, Cluster Missiles Blue Squadron, Fire Control Systems Gold Squadron, Ion Cannon Turret BLACK SUN PLAYER(s):Englishpete BLACK SUN SQUAD LIST(s): Boba Fett, Proton Bombs, Expert Handling, Gunner Kath Scarlet, Autoblaster, Expert Handling, Rebel Captive. Flush with their success in they Mayagil Sector the Black Sun have decided to consolidate their position in the region by disrupting the Rebel lines of command and launch an attack into the Brema Sector. If successful, this will severely hamper the Rebel war effort. Fearing over stretching their own fleets, the Black Sun have hired in two of the most infamous bounty hunters in the galaxy. None other than Boba Fett and Kath Scarlet. Fett and Scarlett dropped into the system and headed full speed for the Rebel squadron. The Rebels powered forwards as well, but left the A-Wing pilot alone in front facing 2 full volleys from the Bounty Hunters severely crippling it for no damage in return. The next few rounds saw some fierce combat with both Fett and Kath losing a few shields, but the rebels lost a B-Wing and sustained damage on the X-Wing and Y-Wing. The Y-Wing and A-Wing found themselves right next to Boba and he dropped the proton bomb, finishing the A-Wing and severely damaging the Y-Wing. Fett lost his remaining shield and took a none significant crit. The Y-Wing tried to turn but was brutally gunned down by Kath. The X-Wing launched the proton torp at Fett severely wounding him, but the return fire the following round scratched the X-Wing. "Ha, he nearly had you old man, you're getting slow" "Be thankful we find ourselves under the same contract Scarlet or I'd show you how slow I am" "Fett to Xizor, mission a complete success, deposit the rest of the credits, we wouldn't want any nasty misunderstandings." Englishpete 1,379 Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) Black Suns vs Rebels. SYSTEM: BREMA Sector WINNER: Black Sun DATE PLAYED: 2013-Dec-23 REBEL PLAYER(s): rwhiffen REBEL SQUAD LIST(s): Tycho Celchu, Push the Limit, Concussion Missiles Green Squadron Pilot, Push the Limit, Concussion Missiles Blue Squadron Pilot, Fire Control System, Advanced Proton Torpedoes, Engine Upgrade. BLACK SUN PLAYER(s):Englishpete BLACK SUN SQUAD LIST(s): Captain Jonus, Push the Limit, Proton Torpedoes Krassis Trelix, Heavy Laser Cannon, Recon Specialist Gamma Squadron Pilot, Proton Torpedoes, Proximity Mine Having succeeded in disrupting the Rebels in the Brema Sector, it was time for the Black Sun to consolidate their position and deal a further blow to the rebellion. Both sides were cautious in their opening moves, but the Black Sun went straight for the B-Wing en masse. Two Proton Torpedoes opened the account with 5 undefended hits on the B-Wing who was out of position to return fire. Krassis took two Concussion Missiles for a total of 5 damage, but wasn't to worried. Next turn the B-wing met its doom from combined fire from Jonas and Krassis whilst the Gamma turned hard to get position on the Green Squadron Pilot. The two Bombers took a few damage from A-Wing fire but nothing serious. The Gamma managed to drop its Proximity mine right in the nose of the Green Squadron and next turn the Green took 2 crits on its shields and was left sandwiched between the HLC of Krassis and the now K-Turned Bomber. The bomber finished the Green Squadron Pilot and Krassis rolled 4 natural hits on the undamaged Tycho. Tycho rolled 4 dice to avoid death and came up well short, exploding in a ball of gas and flame. "Heavy 1 to Xizor, Rebel resistance crushed, no casualties, system secured." "Heavy 1 out" Edited December 23, 2013 by Englishpete 1 TheRealStarkiller reacted to this

Shaadea 258 Posted December 25, 2013 SYSTEM: CORELLIA Sector WINNER: Empire DATE PLAYED: 2013-Dec-24 REBEL PLAYER(s): rgalvan REBEL SQUAD LIST(s): Wedge, R2 Astromech Horton Y Wing, R2 Astromech, Ion Turret, Proton Torpedoes, Proton Torpedoes Durch Y Wing, R2 Astromech, Ion Turret IMPERIAL PLAYER(s): Shaadea IMPERIAL SQUAD LIST(s): Alpha Squadron TieInterceptor, Stealth Device Alpha Squadron TieInterceptor, Stealth Device Alpha Squadron TieInterceptor, Stealth Device Alpha Squadron TieInterceptor Alpha Squadron TieInterceptor Short overview on the game: There was an alley between asteroids going diagonally from top right to bottom left, you could only go to the left if you wanted to break free from those asteroids while in that alley (right side was completely blocked by 4 asteroids). I placed my Squad in a tight formation at the open top right corner of the map, right at the mouth of the alley. He placed his squad opposite, bottom left. I started with 4 of my Ints going into the alley very slowly, while the fifth went parallel outside, keeping the same speed. He went into the alley also, very slowly. We continued with that slow approach, 2 turns no attacks. Then in turn 3 we were something like 35cm away from each other, so I used my speed to jump forward, barrel rolling into different positions to block as many slow-going positions as possible, while also keeping one back to block a fast slip by. The Int on the outside was able to turn in and also get into the alley. We ended up with all his ships except Wedge causing collisions by moving slow. Wedge had only 1 target, but between him and Horton that Int was annihilated (6 hits on 2 attacks, one evade on all 6 dice). I managed to strip Wedge off his shield (with 2 Interceptors firing at him from R1), while the last one got a shield off from Horton. The next turn I concentrated on blocking him as much as possible, and it worked. One of my ships wasn't in the game anymore (ionized, and would be so for the next 2 turns, facing away from battle), so it was 3 Interceptors vs 3 Rebels. Wedge had only 2 Options: Try a Kio, which would bring him very close to an asteroid (if he would make it at all) or go away from battle to come back later; every other move would see him overlap with no target to shoot at. I placed my ships in a way to ensure that Wedge couldn't do a short move, facing the place he would be if he goes for the Kio. He tried the Kio, and failed, sitting right on the asteroid. Horton and Dutch did some more collision, Dutch collided with one of mine and Horton with Dutch. His shooting got the one ship ionized again, nothing else (evaded the other one). Wedge left after 2 Attacks (R1 + R2) from my Interceptors, Horton lost some Hull points and got a crit (Sensor Damage). The final Turn saw my ships doing Kios and hard turns to face his two. He misplaced a Target lock on a ship outside the range of his Ion Turret, and was also Locking with Horton on one of my last still stealthed ships. Fired torpedoes, only to score 2 hits. I got lucky with 2 evades. Horton was killed this turn, by 3 attacks against him. With only Dutch left and still 8 Hull Points among my ships (meaning at least 8 more turns until he would had them all with his ion turret) he conceded. DagobahDave 1,621 Posted December 25, 2013 Got it, thanks! Phase 5 starts today. At the end of Phase 4, the Imperials have gained control of the Corellian Sector after numerous bloody battles, extending their domination of the galaxy's core systems. [bothan Spies report that the Imperials have 3 net wins in the Corellian Sector, so they're just barely holding onto power there.] Black Sun has wrested control of some systems that had been liberated by the Alliance, and generally made a mess of the rebels' plans along the southern trade routes. But the rebels are holding on, and even gaining strength in other regions. Follow along on the UXGC website, and send in those battle reports! http://www.outworld-studio.com/uxgc.html
