Divining Emperors Tarot with Online tool

Someone created a W40K RPG tarot card set, based on Greenknights ruleset (downloadable from this website). Which can be used in game. Every card 'stands' for something, basically the same as with the standard tarot. 

 

I had the idea to build a small software-tool around this where a GM can pick some cards in some reading that the 'diviner' then can interpret

 

What I have so far:

- all cards including their symbolic meaning in the tool (had to change some symbols to make each symbol unique to a card. E.g. 'Loss' was on multiple cards)

- a function where the GM can look for a certain card containing a certain symbolic value. E.g. the gm can search for 'loss' and 2 or three cards with this 'symbol' will result from which the gm can pick.

- a randomization function where the 'diviner' makes a hidden roll and on fail another random card (then the one the gm chose) is placed instead, messing up (part of) the reading.

 

Where my issue lies is the actual reading.

 

I do have some incline on the flow of things:

1. players states question

2. gm looks up cards that represent an answer to that question in the tool

3. run macro (in which you enter these cards)

4. hidden check is rolled and some cards may be replaced

5. cards are laid out

6. player clicks on cards and they turn over showing their face

7. player makes interpretation

 

I have trouble with the details however, so I'm hoping someone has some experience with divining in an RPG setting.

- what type of questions are/should be allowed

- what kind of 'laying structure' do you have (I know the tarot versions, but they don't really seem appropriate for the rpg setting) (how many cards, layout, meaning of layout, etc.)

- how far do you help (as gm and/or tool) in the interpretation

 

does anyone have experience with this, or at least some good suggestions on how to continue with this.

Holy Terra:Fertility, Abundance, Home, Mother, Sister, Wife, Vacillation, Infertality

Man:Destiny, A special gain, End of a problem, Unexpected events, An unusual loss, Outside influences

The Administrator:Management, Control, Advancement

The Angel Of Death:Heroes of old, Death in battle, Excellence in Fighting

The Arbitrator:Order, Submission to authority, Imprisonment, Execution

The Arch-Magos:Mastery of a craft, Old ways

etc.
