EmilMasback 2 Posted September 13, 2013 HI everyone. Ran across the new orders section in Hammer of the Emperor (p.106) today to see if anything suited my groups ratling. I figured Eyes up would be a good fit, and suitable bonus for the group and suggested it. What I couldn't find, and what neither of us seem to find is which cost is assosiated with sweeping orders. They're not listed as either basic or advanced. nor can I find any errata that settles it. FOr the time beeing we'll treat them as advanced, as they're a bit cheap for their use otherwise. If anyone has delt with this before or knows what I'm not seeing please let me know Thanks! ^^
Nightcloak 18 Posted September 13, 2013 sweeping order affect the whole squad in rangenot just the comrade of the character who uses it also consider that most sweeping order should only be used by the squad leader (eyes up! being one of the exceptions) or just have your charcters work out a reason why a non-leader can issue effective orders
EmilMasback 2 Posted September 17, 2013 I'm well aware of the restrictions, that's not what I'm asking. How much xp-cost is associated with the common buy-able sweeping orders? As they are not listed as either fo the types taht costs are presented for. It's fairly natural that the squads spotter can call out for caution and that his team-mates would react to it, so as far as immersion goes, it's covered. PhilOfCalth 54 Posted September 17, 2013 Hi EmiMasback. I had a look in Hammer of the Emperor a few days ago to answer your question for you, but then of course I got wrapped up in something else and forgot to reply. Each comrade order in the Hammer of the Emperor (sweeping or otherwise) has 2 aptitudes associated with it, so it can be purchased in the exact same way as any skill or talent. EmilMasback 2 Posted September 19, 2013 I'm aware of that as well. The cost listed for new orders appear on p.106 on HotE. But, and this is what I've been having issues with, there is no cost listed for Sweeping orders. Basic orders have their cost, Advanced orders have their cost, modified by aptitudes, Sweeping orders are not listed, nor do they contain any identification that tells me if they should be considered advanced or basic. Nightcloak 18 Posted September 20, 2013 they count as talents and are listet in the tier table
EmilMasback 2 Posted September 22, 2013 I'm sorry, but I believe you're mistaken. There are no sweeping orders listed in the tier tables, not in Hammer of the Emperor nor in the Core rule-book. I even went as far as to check with three different local game-masters and asked them if they could find it for me, but it simply isn't there. The orders do have aptitudes for them, but no were is the a specification that tells me what kind of order sweeping are, nor is there any other indication of which xp cost should be applied to them. If you honestly have them in your talent tiers I'd have to ask which page. sorry for being a pest about it

Nightcloak 18 Posted September 23, 2013 ah okay now i get what you mean precisly and you are right they are not specified as basic or veteran orders basically by definition they would count as basic order because they apply to all comrades not just veteran comrades thats how we handled it when that came up once and why i was so sure about it
