StrangeAgent 0 Posted September 8, 2013 Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the 2nd edition horses weren't allowed in the dungeon. Does anyone think that's appropriate now?

The_Warlock 171 Posted September 8, 2013 A Battle Hulk is quite big too. The Dungeon is actually home to the biggest creatures in Talisman game. A wide and astounding underground complex.
cinek190 1 Posted September 15, 2013 I play it so that i allow all horse companions into the Dungeon/Mountains, but their special abilities do not work anymore, and i must drop any extra items at the entrance. This is because i look fondly upon my 2nd edition playing days:)

adjogi 91 Posted September 15, 2013 I have to agree with Elliot. When you forbid (or force someone not to use) a horse of any kind in the dungeon all it does is limit you. It means you won't go into the dungeon simply because you can't. This can be a game-limiting factor. I think it makes for a better game to just let it happen. Let the cards and the dice dictate what you experience. I love the 2nd edition - don't get me wrong - it has so much nostalgia to me that no-one could say a bad thing against it...however, from a strict gamers point of view, there is no reason to forbid the use of horses in the dungeon. As we all know, there are massive enemies here so what kind of a threat can a mule seriously pose?! Oh and for the record - the worst of enemies are in the Dungeon!!! Don't make it harder for a simple adventurer!!
0beron 151 Posted September 16, 2013 I too am very nostalgic about the 2nd edition; though I have not played it in years. (and I like the Timescape, and would like to see a new version ... maybe just 'other dimensions' appear in the 4th). My co player will not venture into the Dungeon until she has over 8 strength... as a minimum. She may wait even longer. Sheesh. 1 DomaGB reacted to this
