Do you need a Talisman in Dragon Talisman (with the tower)

Normally you need a Tailsman enter the valley of fire, but with Tailsman Dragon with the tower overlay there is no valley of fire. Nor do I see any replacment square with that requirement.

Did I miss something, or is there really no reason to collect a Tailsman?
