NullPlayer 0 Posted September 1, 2013 My question is this; If you take a Construct as a follower, can it fight for you? My interpretation of the rule is just like the way a Minstrel takes animals as followers, that Constructs can be used in battle by the Tinkerer. Being that in one location the rules say "For example, the minstrel’s special ability allows him to charm Animals into joining him as Followers. A character that has these Followers in his play area treats them as normal Followers in all regards, except he cannot choose to ditch them." to me, that would seem to indicate that the way the Minstrel takes followers IS the "normal" way to treat monsters taken as followers. By that logic then, the Tinkerer should be able to use an Constructs he converts, as the Minstrel does. I would really appreciate any feedback on this, and especially some official feedback. Had an argument last night with a very stubborn friend, things escalated aaaaaand now I am a displaced roommate. Kind of a big deal for me to get this cleared up. Thank you in advance. Toothless_Night_Fury 103 Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) I'm afraid you are wrong. If the Tinkerer turns an Object into an automated Follower, it does not fight for him!!! Ell. Edited September 1, 2013 by talismanamsilat
NullPlayer 0 Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) My question is not about turning objects into followers. Its about taking monsters as followers. I see where I may need clarification though. The Tinkerer has the ability to take Construct type monsters as followers, that is what I am referencing, not his ability to convert objects to followers. Toothless_Night_Fury 103 Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) Now I understand what you were asking! If the Tinkerer takes a Construct as a Follower, it can only be discarded to replace Adventure Cards as in the last part of the second special ability; it cannot be used in battle or psychic combat. The FAQ informs players that card types that do not have the 'Follower' keyword cannot be voluntarily ditched, nor can they be taken by another players ability. It doesn't mean that the Tinkerers automated Followers fight with him! Ell. Edited September 1, 2013 by talismanamsilat
