New player with some questions... Thanks!

Hi! I'm excited to pick up my own copy of this fantastic game. There are a few things I've been wondering:

-Restocking? I can't seem to find anything available except for the core set (prolly going to get two). Any word from FFG when the waves will be resupplied?

-Is there a wiki, database, etc fan made page with all the info/stats for the ships and tech cards released thus far?

-Can two similar factions play against each other? Reb vs Reb and Imp vs Imp?

-Think there will be a third faction? As in fringe, bounty hunters, etc? (I'm guessing prequels may get made at some point too)

-Outrider? Puh-leaaaaaase!

3, 4, and 5 got answered well :)

As to 1 - I'd suggest you look at Barnes & Noble if you have one nearby - they stock them, but not many people think they do.  I've found tons of wave 1 stuff there, and a few A-wings/Interceptors (which are still rare) and plenty of Slave 1s and Falcons.  I'm sure it can differ from place to place but it's worth checking out.

2 - You can also use http://x-wing.voidstate.com/build .  I like this one the best, but experiment and find out what you like.

Welcome to the game!

No, you see the cookie cutter squads like most games. But with this game, any squad can beat any squad.

If you feel it getting repetitive. Shuffle all your pilots into 2 decks, one Rebel and one Empire. Draw 7 rebel pilots and 10 empire pilots, then shuffle all your upgrades into a pile and draw 15 cards. From your cards you drew build either a Rebel OR Empire squad. This is fun, especially if you have a group, a lot of strange squads but very fun to play.

I like the idea of shuffling your pilots and making random squads.

Hi there I am newbie to this as well I have played some skirmishes so far and really enjoyed it.  Are there any examples out there of folks playing each other with more then 100 squadron points on each side?

Ya, I have played 400pt games.

Wow, 400 points is a ton, that game must have taken 4+ hours.  The most I've ever played is 150 points, and it was definitely manageable.  I think we could move up to 200 points without too much dificulty, but anything more than 200 points I fear would be far too much.

Also, online retailers got Wave 2 shipments in today!!!  Get them while you can!!!  I tried to pick up some interceptors, I managed to get the last one from miniaturemarket.com before they sold out completely...they went so fast!
