a bizarre question …

Recommended Posts

Greetings all,

please respond to the following … [a friend of mine asked this; think it's got something to do with Bank Job-use]

question: is one allowed to run on a remote server, protected by ice, but NOT having any cards installed (safe for the ice) ?

Thx.

Yes, you can run it. As long as there is something installed in a remote server, the server exists and you can run it.

Note on terminology: ICE is not installed in a server, it protects it (it matter for trashing cards before installing). Carist's main point is still valid, though: a server exists as long as there is something installed in it or protecting it.

Thanks for the replies :-)

So basicly, if the ice is protecting an empty space (no cards installed what so ever), it is not considered a remote server so you cannot run on it.

Correct?

That is exactly the wrong conclusion to draw from everything that was said.

A remote server exists while there are cards installed in it, or ice installed protecting it (or both, naturally). So an empty remote server with ice protecting it is still a remote server, and thus can be run on.
