You can find deck lists from several regionals posted on Top Tier Gaming (link in my signature).

You can find 93 deck lists (as of this posting) and comments on them here.

Now as for deck help I recommend Jedi and Sith when starting out. What kind of a card pool do you have ?

I heartily welcome you to the game, but I must implore you: for the sake of yourself and everyone you will play against at the tournament, please try to get some practice games before the tournament. Many tournaments have an hour limit for one round (two games). As a beginner, games often last a whole hour. I predict there will be some very upset people if you are still learning the game and they run out of time while playing you. If you really can't get a lot of practice in before the tournament, I hope your opponents will be tolerant. I would be. But then, I'm not as competitive as the next guy. I like to win, but I play this game because it's Star Wars, not because it's a card game. Still, if you had been at my regional, I can think of 3 or 4 people who would be very vocal about slow play. I don't think you should not play, but I just want to make sure you are aware of that issue.

If you can't find anyone to play with, I would recommend playing some games against yourself. Sure, the edge battle is hard to fake since you know both hands, but it will help you get familiar with how many units you can get on the table, when to save cards for edge battles and when to play them, what order you should use resources to make sure you don't lock yourself out of playing a card by losing the resource match, and other issues. There are a lot of choices to make in this game. I absolutely LOVE it. It's a really fun game, but as with most customizable games, it has a steep learning curve. I wish you the best of luck on your upcoming tournament.

That would be sad. :(

My comments about the time limit were more of a head's-up on what the situation might be like. I'd hate to be the reason you decide not to play in a tournament. After all, I never played in a tournament before when I went to my first regionals match and ended up taking first place. So maybe you'll do great. Who knows?

If you do decide to play, best of luck!
