dokuromaru 0 Posted March 16, 2009 So i just got back into the game 2 days ago. im workin on a deck that uses haohmaru:. to block and then use reversals. This is what i got so far. its still a work in progress and there really isnt a local meta, but me and several friends started up again so we are piecing decks together with whatever cards we get. so far, this is what im planning on making. I would just like to know if a deck like this can work, any help is appreciated. Smazzurco 0 Posted March 16, 2009 few questions. How come 4 Hao's and 1 akuma? Also not sure if some of your attacks are actions/assets (i dont know legacy cards at all, and am not very familiar with B2 stuff) but it looks like you have WAY too many attacks. Da_ghetto_gamer 0 Posted March 16, 2009 well since your trying to make it legal id say you have to get rid of defender of the empire....its banned im afraid and anything with the four-point shuryken is legal(after april 18) everything that has a watermark is legal at the moment and as far as suggestions go i think your running too many attacks between 16-20 is good if you dont have a solid kill card and are looking for chaining attacks together although i still advise to run around 15 thats usually pretty good...... once you get alot of cards and get back in the swing of things a really good kill card to look into is sardine beach special..its got void so you can use it and its a throw with amazing damage

dokuromaru 0 Posted March 17, 2009 darn. is there any place to get an updated banned/errata list? aside from that one card, how does it look? I was considering putting in admiration and adoration(3x of each) and taking out 1x separated and reuinited as well as taking out the banned noble scion of an odeous bloodline. Ive been playing with it in the akuma precon(domination) and it works well in that deck, but i do realize that this deck im working on isnt the same, or so i believe that it will work differently. Still, they are 1 and 2 difficulty foundations with 5 control which is pretty good.
Musashi1054 0 Posted March 18, 2009 I'm probably going to go back to building a Haohmaru deck soon. I can try to give you some help, but the way I was going to build him leaned more towards Order.
dokuromaru 0 Posted March 18, 2009 well the reason i went with void over order is that when i started up again(literally less than a week ago), i picked up the akuma deck and the foundations reunited and separated got me interested in a reversal deck, so i ran with that, tho there are a decent amount of order attacks in my deck as it is. dokuromaru 0 Posted March 20, 2009 bought the cutting edge haohmaru deck today. ive played around with it a bit and had a few solitaire matches with it, tho i think the deck is mostly order cards. im thinking of changing it around so I can use the light on ones feet and a samurai's life combo so that i can use the same block over and over. ShadowDragon 0 Posted March 22, 2009 The latest starters are actually mono-symbol, unlike the older ones where you'd occasionally get cards the starting character couldn't even chain... Haohmaru and Rock Howard are off of Order, Sagat and Akuma off of Fire, Sakura and Ken off of All, and Yoshitora and Mai off of Evil. But anyways, why not try a Fire build? Haohmaru's support and Akuma's support both share Fire, and Bitter Rivals works a little better than Light on One's Feet (and will still work with that Samurai's Life combo). dokuromaru 0 Posted March 23, 2009 after playing a few matches with the haohmaru starter, the thought had crossed my mind. the main problem that i have, at least with the starter is the low checks vs the difficulty. i have a lot of 3's and 4's in there compared to the akuma deck's usual 5 checks. i did see bitter rivals and did consider it, but it is a 3/4 where light on ones feet is a 2/5 thus making it a better card, at least in my meta, which is mostly consisting of my friends combining starter decks to get the maximum effect, usually against my akuma deck which is reigning supreme atm. Im also considering a more offensive deck. granted, the starter deck isnt exactly what im envisioning. What do you think about taking out building a country for son of a tycoon?
