Aldyramon 25 Posted April 15, 2013 Hi I have a question: in the Core Rules stands that the modified Archaeotech Plasma Drive pretty much modifies a standard drive with -4 Space and +1 Speed. Does that mean I can get every Plasma Drive in a modified archaeotech Version, e.g. the ones out of "Into the Storm" or just that standard Jovian drives that are listed in the Core Rules? Thanks
Cpt. Harkonnen2 0 Posted April 15, 2013 Any drive can be a Modified Drive, but as a GM Id use some common sense on this. If you read the fluff text of each drive it generaly tells you on when the drive came about with in the past x-years. As a general rule, any "new" drive, ie: less than 1000 years old, would not be an archeotech drive. But its up to your GM. But yes back to the basic question, any Drive can be a Modified Drive. ~Cpt. HappyDaze 10,108 Posted April 15, 2013 I disagree with the previous poster on one point: "recent" drives can still have archeotech variants if you assume that the recent drive was reverse engineered from surviving archeotech examples. The non-archeotech versions have only recently been put into operation, but they are not truly new tech at all.
