Valour of Ages: Elf Supplement for WFRP3 is now available; more contributions are welcome

GW is very sensitive about everything.  I's surprised that the artwork on DeviatnArt is allowed.

That isn't an issue with GW, it's with the original artists. Unless you have license to use the artwork, it's a copyright violation.

Randomly pulling images off of Google and distributing them isn't kosher, free fan product or not.

I would say if they are in Google they cannot be further distributed. I think it is more a sort of advertisment :P

What High elf careers are missing that could be played by a player?

Handmaidens of the Everqueen, marines.  Cant think of anything more.

I did many, including the Handmaidens and a whole path sailor->mate->captain->admiral

Still, when a player of mine wants to play an elf, we work hard on justifying why his character is in the Old World.

Opps, must have missed over the Handmaidens. Must have read over it when looking through the Many careers you created.

RPGGeek was nice enough to get us a project link for it (Valour of Ages) so that we can link Yepesnope's book of the Asur and everyone else's stuff there, but they wouldn't let us upload it for that reason (non-original art).  They informed me directly that GW is hypersensitive about their artwork moreso than any other company so they alerted us to be wary of that.

Anyways, EVERYONE is allowed to produce stuff on Strange Eons and upload it to the RPGGeek FILES section to help complete the project as much as you want.

Elves are evidently in demand, so if you create some fan stuff, it's likely it will get used by other groups.

One final note about Strange Eons:  Version 2 has WFRP workable stuff.  Version 3 has not been fully adapted yet.

That is akin to saying that it was ok to rob the house because they left the door open.

You shouldn't steal artwork to class up your project, no matter how easy it is.

It is a bad comparison, when you steal something from someone's house, you private that person or family of something (a good). I am not removing anything from the internet, the pictures are just right where I found them.

I don't see then how I am "stealing" artwork. There are many ways you can protect the artwork you upload to the net. I have found such artwork and I have not used /try to hack it from the net.

You're in the wrong here, man. Artists should be paid for their work.

I agree with you.

Nevertheless, to give an example, many of the images I took, come from the web page of warhammer online, under the link concept art /download. The artist of these illustrations have been already paid for them, and probably they agreed in the contract that their illustrations could be freely dowload by anyone, and they were probably paid extra for this.

I always thought Non-elves were banned from Ulthuan, but reading on the history of the kings of the elves that ruling was removed. So in theory you could have non elves visiting Ulthuan.  I doubt they let them wander around unescorted or populate the place.  But be a good way to have the party sail there to learn some knowledge that the High Elves may have.

What adventures would you create? Is it a High Elf adventure on the isle, or one in the Old world for any race.

A scholar of Hoeth, with escort, being taken around the Empire. For a secretive reason.

Seems elves live 2500 years,  Is the current year 2521? If so the High Elves left the old world in -1589, 4110 years ago. So in theory, a dying High Elf citizen with no family could hire the adventures to seek knowledge of his Wood Elf siblings that was separated at that time. To give them a heirloom, will etc. Only dwarven and wood elves would have the history of that time, and wood elf history is from songs.  Thinking on this I see so many problems. with the knowledge of that time. Maybe theres a dark elf family member chasing the party to steal the heirloom.

Shipwrecked Elf found by the party, lost and alone, needs to be escorted back to civilization.

I can picture so many fun ways to create an adventure and even a campaign, wish my English skills were good enough :/ . The Enemy Within type campaign, set using High elves, dwarves, empire, wood elves  and with the dark elves as the secret enemy.

Hey, you guys still moving with the Wood Elf Fan Supplement? So sad to see the last post in this thread was in 2013. I got super excited for a moment there. Impressed with all your work so far.
