Location Support Cards

hi all,

 

just wanted to clarify these.. we played our first couple games where these got attached to characters..

 

After our last game it dawned on us that they dont' say Attach.. are they played just like characters? in that they aren't attached they are just available for you to use the actions etc on them? and they are put into your control area?

just a grey area for us.

Location cards are just played in your control area and can then be used.
