Carnate 1 Posted February 27, 2009 I found 2 errors in the game: 1) There is a combat card containing a scourge and its attack value is 9 but in the BW rulebook it is just 8. And I think 9 is too powerful. 2) Another combat card containing a corsair says its health value is 8 but in the rulebook it is 7. I think the 8 is the correct value. haslo 950 Posted February 27, 2009 I guess they just overlooked the more potent cards in the overview. 9 attack looks perfectly valid to me, after all, Scourges are meant to destroy stuff they attack - they do die anyway after all, so it's 2 gas for just one shot at killing stuff. But of course you're free to house rule "this 9 is actually an 8". The FAQ mentions things where cards are misprinted, and doesn't mention these cards, so I guess they're not off. But if you're still in doubt, you can make it a rules question to the developers here.
Carnate 1 Posted February 27, 2009 Yeah, I read that FAQ too. You must be right. Thx.
Dagoma 0 Posted March 1, 2009 Remember that the attack and health values in the rules / player aid are just median values, the cards are not all the same. So when in the player aid it says attack value of 7 you usually have cards between 6-8 (there is a sheet inf BGG with actual values that I finded useful). haslo 950 Posted March 1, 2009 That's true for the original game's player aid, there's a more detailed (and way more useful, if it weren't for those errors) overview in the Brood War rulebook
Shadowsword 0 Posted March 2, 2009 There lot of misprints on the min/max value sheets (both of the printed version and on the available version for download). I printed out the downloaded list and corrected the values with a pen. If anyone could give me a formula, where I could just enter the min/max values from the combat cards, I would do so. Shadowsword 0 Posted March 10, 2009 Hi, as in my last post, I don't have the corrections in electronic form. Just give me a table/form where to put the values and a put them into.

Hi, what do you think about a google spreadsheet? Like this http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pNjvoHQKEfa_eht7fY9DhDg Thanks.
Shadowsword 0 Posted March 11, 2009 Done! :-) (Still need a bit format)
ofblack 0 Posted March 11, 2009 Now the table is formatted and shared with everybody! The location is the one i report above. Thank you very much to shadowsword
Shadowsword 0 Posted March 12, 2009 @ ofblack Could you change the Corsair health value from 7 to 8. The other values should be fine. @ all Is there an option to get the corrected values into the next prints or the download version of the brood war manual? Railarian 0 Posted March 12, 2009 Check out Gawain77's thread named Double sided BW Reference Sheet - combat stats, he did a terrific job!
Shadowsword 0 Posted March 12, 2009 @ Railarian: Good point (and nice work done by him) @ olblack looking at the other sheet, I also found (probably the last errors) on mine, please correct: - Reaver: max attack value: 8+2 - Goliath comment applies also for min att value against aircraft
ofblack 0 Posted March 12, 2009 @Railarian It is very impressive, it's "a monster" Anyway, it seems to me a little chaotic and it is not suited for some of my (noob) friends. I would create a simple reference sheet for noobs, the template of the original reference sheet is perfect for me, adding only some clear information about technologies. Only when my friends will be skilled we'll use "the monster" @shadowsword I've corrected the spreadsheet. Anyway, it is editable now. Thanks a lot for your help.
