Questions about R2-D2 upgrade

Recommended Posts

1) If your ship is upgraded with R2-D2 and if your ship currently has a stress token, when you execute a green maneuver can you regenerate a shield and remove the stress token, or do you have to pick one or the other?

2) If your ship has taken damage, can you still regenerate shields if you execute a green maneuver (when you have the R2-D2 upgrade)?  In other words, if your ship upgraded with R2-D2 has two damage cards and you execute a green maneuver, do you leave the two damage cards and add a shield token?  We have been playing that way but I just wanted to see if that's right.

Thanks.

Yes, you can remove the stress token AND regenerate the shield token.

You can also regenerate a shield token if you have damage cards on the X-Wing, unless there was some other card effect that would disallow this.  The Damage cards will still remain on the X-Wing, even if you regenerate a shield token.

It works exactly like you would imagine it to "for real"; your hull is damaged to hell, but that doesn't mean you can't bring the shields back online.  Sort of like the Protoss in Starcraft.
