Purple Whisper 7 Posted February 23, 2009 Does anyone know what is intended for a player's collections in his profile? Is it meant to be the games that he ownes, or all the ones that he plays? At first, I assumed I was meant to fill out just the games that I actually own. However, as I'm only allowed to pick favourites from among "My collections", I decided that apparently "My collections" include all the games that I like to play. It's not important at all, of course, but I like to get these things right .
Dam the Man 84 Posted February 23, 2009 I only include games I own. Since I own only 6 FFG games (well, 7 if you count Marvel Heroes) and I can put 5 of those in my top-5 list, not a big deal. Actually, the list of games wouldn't change even if I put down games I play but don't own from FFG .
ColtsFan76 2 Posted March 7, 2009 I only include games I own. There are a lot of peaople listed that "own everything" - which I highly doubt. There might have been an expectation that the only way to get to online content was to be an owner of that game. But from what I can tell, you just ened to be registered to the site to access the exclusive stuff and not logged with that particular game.

I might be wrong, of course, but nevermind - I've listed only those that I've bought.
talismanisland 721 Posted March 8, 2009 As you can probably see I've only added the game that I own. I wouldn't mind seeing expansions added though...

I would really like to see this as well. Given Arkham, A Game of Thrones, Battlelore and Blue Moon expansions, I have a lot more expansions than games. I figured they called it "Collections" rather then "Games" because a single collection can contain several items (base game and expansions). As for logic: I agree that "collections" suggests it's about stuff you own. But it also seems logical that I can have favourites that I do not own (in fact, I do have favourites I do not own). And favourites have to come from your collections. So somehow, logic doesn't seem to cover it . That's where my confusion started.

I think it is called "collections" because it is what you own in the different areas. You have a collection (single) of board games, a collection of card games, a collection of books, a collection of whatever else they are allowing you to mark as collected. Just because I own Arkham Horror, doesn't mean I own all or even any of the expansions. I would think it would be good to track it as individuals instead under the main title. That's not the case The instructions for selecting items for your Library of Games state: Choose your Collections. Remember that after you finish your list, you can indicate which of the collections are your five favorites. The things that you can select as favorites are collections. So, Arkham Horror is a collection. It doesn't say anything about how much products there are in your Arkham Horror collection.
ColtsFan76 2 Posted March 10, 2009 This site was translated from the Spanish site. So there are a lot of instances of literal translations that follow Spanish grammar. So I am not completely confident that "collections" is the right word used in the right context. Regardless of what it says, we need expansions!
