sozin 2,656 Posted August 19, 2012 I had a chance to try the demo at Gencon. It was fantastic. One of the things that FFG did great was have the playing tables covered with printed paper containing a sexy digital rendition of the playing board with the play area, for both runner and corp (page 7 of the rulebook). Would it be possible to make this resource downloadable? Thank you!
Janus 3 Posted August 19, 2012 I second the motion, as I'm hoping to work with a FLGS to possibly run demos and get some play groups going.
FMalakai2 0 Posted August 20, 2012 +1 That table was AWESOME!
player1146077 0 Posted August 20, 2012 Or a print on demand thing, as some of us won't have printers big enough to do that. This could also be something that's supplied with tournament kits.
sozin 2,656 Posted August 20, 2012 Hopefully I am not pushing my luck by asking for the same with Infiltration
Zelrig 0 Posted August 20, 2012 I wish they would make them available as Runner and Corp rubberized playmats.
MinisterOfPropaganda 0 Posted August 20, 2012 Yeah, I'd love to have a downloadable copy of that, especially since I *do* have access to a large format printer….

Meanwhile they could add the paper version inside of the Core box. That will be an added bonus for buying the game.
Ravinos 0 Posted August 22, 2012 I will be taking charge of Netrunner at my local gaming store and would love to have the demo table cover. I thought the cover not only help to keep things organized but of course help with overall gameplay. After seeing some of the tournament games in action, I saw a lot of players organizing the playfield like they were playing Magic. Which in a game like this could lead to serious confusion. If we can't get a hi-rez version of the demo table cover I will be creating my own playmat for both Corp and Runner.
pwnguin 0 Posted August 22, 2012 It shouldn't be too hard to make your own in Inkscape; the distinction between amatuer and pro work is largely in the gradients applied. The trickiest part will be culling some decent hi-res / vector artwork. All of the stuff on deviantart is anime and little ponies…
el Igore 0 Posted August 22, 2012 There is a photo of the whole table over on BGG: boardgamegeek.com/image/1395119/android-netrunner And someone even made a playmat for the corp based on it (read the comments): boardgamegeek.com/image/1396996/android-netrunner
FMalakai2 0 Posted August 23, 2012 El Igore, your corp mat project is awesome! Congratulations! Stunning beautiful!!! Please, let us know about the runner mat you're working at. Thanks! I will use it in my demos in my localstore here in Italy.
darkpact 0 Posted August 23, 2012 Sorry to be a bit negative here. I don't like the Corp Playmat. There is one big field for the Ice. And even after explaining the rules the players started to just put the ice anywhere. A cool Playmat would have shown the fields where to put the ice. Using fading colors it would also be clearer to start from the inner space. And for the Remote servers it should be clear that there are several of them. It looks nice but not practical. Feel free to post your improved design I don't think that El Igore created the Playmat - he just pointed out the thread over at BGG. Any requests for improvement should probably be posted there. I think the mat looks great, btw.! I don't think it needs additional details.
