Amuk 9 Posted August 10, 2012 Household Names -- okay, I'm stoked. The corp identities are every bit as distinct as the Runners'. No surprise, really, given the obvious amount of attention to detail and TLC that's gone into this project. I can see some widely varying strategies coming straight out of the Core Set box. And it's clear that a broad array of playstyles will be accommodated. I can't wait for next Thursday morning!
Amuk 9 Posted August 10, 2012 Apologies for the double post. Weird glitch when I hit publish. Ignore this one.
InfernalZebra 0 Posted August 10, 2012 (Despite your admonition, this one has a reply and more views, and therefore seems like the better choice!) I can't wait either, though I am stuck waiting on the retail release whenever that may be! All the release information has thrilled me. It's clear, as you said, that a lot of TLC has gone into the revamp. I'm almost done anticipating this set and wondering about the first, uh, "data pack"? Until then, remember: Someone Is Always Watching.
NuFenix 1 Posted August 10, 2012 I just wonder how they will do later identities. For Runners, it would be a different person who shares the same belief, but what about for corps? The public face of a company, like Steve Jobs or Bill Gates? Sub-sideries? I just wonder how long it will take to be actually released and hit the UK? The reprinted seasons cycle for AGoT still hasn't got here
InfernalZebra 0 Posted August 10, 2012 I suspect we won't see many actual new Corps. We may see some "corporate reshuffles" where the same Corp gets a different ID card, or even splinter factions within a Corporation that have potential design space while still drawing upon the existing factions. You mentioned subsidiaries, and that's a great idea. To do anything else could screw up the future distribution. I see them releasing potentially one more Corp down the line (CyberSolutions, Inc.?) like Call of Cthulhu did with the Silver Twilight Lodge, or maybe two if they're feeling frisky, but I believe we'll just see new ID cards for the same Corps in the same way the Runners will simply have different individuals at the helm. I hope the cards reach you soon!
Hannibal_pjv 203 Posted August 10, 2012 Hard to say. Actually it would be easier to release new faction than make more neutral cards. It is much easier to balance. Neutral cards can be used in any deck so they can have differen pover in different factions, because the combos you can make.

Oh I don't see it as new corps, but something like: John DoeType: Identity: Head of PR Faction: Corp NBN Pay 1 click, 1 credit to remove 1 Bad PublicityMinimum Deck Size/Influence Limit: 50/10 So it would still be an NBN identity, use all of NBN cards, but change the deck creation whilst giving a new ability. Doc9 41 Posted August 10, 2012 I can't wait to bag some runners as Weyland Corp.
Big Head Zach 56 Posted August 11, 2012 There are other high-level organizations within the Android universe, that while not necessarily megacorps, have some secrets they want to hide. Human First / Humanity Labor, for example.

Of course, you could probably swing them as a take on the Weyland Consortium as well. I guess the point is there is a lot of room for future design, which is good!
