Malakh 0 Posted August 6, 2012 I got the Air of Authority Talent from one of my Origin Path choices, when I choose Rogue Trader as a Career Path it is one of the starting Talents so that means that I can get the Talented (any skill) Talent instead, correct? Now listed in the Advances for Rogue Trader is the Air of Authority Talent, does this mean I can buy the Advance and get another Talented (any skill) Talent in addition to the one I already got? Since Rogue Traders also start with the Pistol Weapon Training (Universal) and Melee Weapon Training (Universal) Talents, buying them as advances will give me two more Talented (any skill) Talents? Did I get those right?

ShadowFighter88 9 Posted August 7, 2012 The errata has a sidebar on the first page mentioning why Talents and Skills you get with the career for free are also down in the Rank 1 advances for it: Duplicated Skills and TalentsIt is important to note that many Career Paths starting Skills and Talents are duplicated at Rank 1 of the Career’s Advances. This is an intentional duplication, and represents the training that is available to all Careers regardless of their origins. Future expansions for the Rogue Trader line may feature Alternate Career Ranks or backgrounds with different starting Skills, and therefore, this duplication serves a purpose for the overall Rogue Trader line. If a character already possesses such a Skill or Talent from Character Generation, he may not purchase it again at Rank 1. EDIT: Hang on - what's this about getting Talented (Any Skill) for already having Air of Authority? Have I missed a rule like that all this time? If you gain the same Talent more than once from different sources, you may elect to trade in the redundant Talent for the Talented (choose one) Talent." I really should have read the Errata a bit more thoroughly. ShadowFighter88 said: EDIT: Hang on - what's this about getting Talented (Any Skill) for already having Air of Authority?
