Event Card Question

 So after you play and event card does it go right into the discard pile?

Simple anwer:  Yes it goes to discard pile after you play it.

 

More complicated answer: It enters discard pile after all responses etc.

From FAQ:

"When a player plays an event (from his
hand), it doesn’t immediately go into his
discard pile. It is placed in his discard
pile after the action is complete."

So with the action window:

1. Action is initiated.
2. Disrupts
3. Action is executed.
4. Passive abilities
5. Forced Responses
6. Responses
7. End of Action (Card now goes to discard pile)

So if there are any reactions etc. affecting some card in discard pile it  won't affect the event card because it is not in discard pile yet. Not sure if there any cards where this situation might happen.
