Hey there,

I watched the replay of the finals and was quite confused by the game of cyvasse play at around 40 minutes.

Maybe someone can give me some insight to this.

Rick played the Cyvasse and knelt the 3 STR maester. The links on him for the raven discard should have actually be triggered after cyvasse resolves. Therefore Rachels Maester of the Sun had 3 STR during the Cyvasse and the text of Cyvasse states, that you must kneel a character with an intrigue icon. So her only option would've been to kneel the Maester of the Sun, since Edric was already knelt. No one would've actually won Cyvasse and no character would get bounced. Even if Rick has won though, why could Rachel decide, which character gets bounced? Did I miss something or did I read a card wrong?

Would be nice if someone can clear this up. Thanks in advance.

 My guess is that we just messed that up.  In hindsight I imagine the card effect should have resolved then while it was moribund all the responses would happen.  It's my understanding that she could still choose a knelt character but it's worth nothing, which is what happened allowing me to bounce Edric to end her intrigue challenge.  I still would have tossed her season (end her draw) and that strength boost from her plot was just causing me fits trying to remember it.

 Yeah you don't have to choose a standing character. So Rachel chose to choose "kneel" Edric. This put Rick in an awkward position where he had to choose to return Edric to her hand, or return her other standing character and letting the intrigue go through. Rick chose to return the Edric so he didn't lose Myrcella to the intrigue (he could've lost the other VIper's Bannerman but he probably didn't want to lose that either). So Rachel was then able to push the power challenge through after that since Rick didn't have any way to stop it once the maester was knelt.
