2 question abaout burn and copy effect

Recommended Posts

1st question : if i have rikon stark on game  "responce: after an effect allows you to search your deck, kneel rikon stark to copy that effect" and i do his triggerd to copy a search card effect, Rikon copy all effect(even the cost) or only the effect?

for example rikon stark and winterfell kennels, if i whant to take 2 wolf's on hand , i must pay 1 gold form location and 1 to copy that?

and 2nd question : if i play hatling feast and i have Shadow parasite in game, can i triggert shadow parasite's effect 3 times for -1, -2, -3?

thank you

Periklis

The key here is that Rickon copies the "effect" and not the "ability."

Cost is part of the ability, but is not a part of the effect.

So when Rickon's ability copies the effect, you don't have to worry about cost for that copy at all.

So far as I know, there's nothing that would stop Shadow Parasite from activating three times in that case.
Shadow Parasite says "after a character's STR is reduced by X." Well, how many characters have had their STR lowered? 3, right? So that is 3 different Response opportunities. It's just like something that says "after a character is killed" getting to Respond once for each character that dies when Valar is played (assuming you can pay the cost). The single effect creates multiple triggers.

Now, if the Parasite said "after an effect lowers the STR of a character...", then there would only be one effect, so you would only get to trigger the Response once for Hatchling's Feast.

On the first question, you don't have to pay the cost of Winterfell Kennels a second time when you use Rickon because you are not triggering Winterfell Kennels a second time. The only cost you pay is the cost to use Rickon's effect - because that is what you are triggering.
