Upcoming Changes to the Fantasy Flight Games Forums   01/20/2017

Hello Fantasy Flight Games forum community!   This week, we will be making some important changes to your Fantasy Flight Games community account and the way that you log into the Fantasy Flight Games community forums and web store.   We have been working hard to integrate with the rest of the Asmodee group, and we are happy to announce a unified way to access all the websites and apps made by Fantasy Flight Games, Days of Wonder, and Asmodee!   For most users, nothing will change: you will still log into the Fantasy Flight Games forums using your current login name and password. Only the login user interface will be new.   For a few users, your credentials might be slightly changed. For example, this could happen to users who have both a Fantasy Flight Games and Days of Wonder account, or in the case of conflicting login names across platforms. When these situations occur, special e-mails will be sent to those users with an easy explanation about those changes and what steps to take next. For any of you receiving those e-mails, please make sure to follow the instructions carefully.   Remember, official communications from Fantasy Flight Games or Asmodee.Net will never ask for your password.   What are the benefits for you as a player? Using a unified account to access all of our web services and apps makes your life simpler. Over time, you will see new features emerging, such as keeping all of your friends under a single account, finding friends easily in apps with online play, or developing your personal profile by adding to your board games collection. These are just some of the features that you will see during the next year, once this important technical step is complete.   Important note: The migration of the forums to our new system will take place on Tuesday, January 24th. The forums will be offline for about two hours during that time. Once the migration is complete, older forum posts may look strange for up to 24 hours as we rebuild them in our new system.   We can’t wait to connect our board game communities and build bridges between universes, game systems, players, events, groups, game clubs, and more! This is only the first step in bringing people and games closer together. For more information, read our FAQ at https://asmodee.helpshift.com/a/asmodee-net/.   Best regards,   The Fantasy Flight Games Team

This ranking is a “living” system that compiles top results from all of the current active Living Tournaments, updated regularly as each of the individual Living Tournament rankings are updated over time. For each #1 ranking you hold in a given Living Tournament, you will receive 10 points toward your World Ranking, 9 points for a #2 result, 8 points for a # 3 result, down to 1 point for a #10 result. A #11 and beyond ranked result in a Living Tournament do not earn points toward your World Ranking.

Hi folks, with the dawn of subforums, I believe it is time to launch the Living Tournament concept. This will be our "beta test" for this system, as hosting via "friendlier" software may become an option at some point in the future. If/when that happens, all results posted here will be transferable to the new system.

At the moment, none of the links have been activated because I have not yet created the proper game threads for each individual Living Tournament. As you can see, this will be a lot of links. Currently, this will require adding 52 links. I will be posting them shortly.

Because of this, I want to apologize to anyone who has already begun a link in this subforum. After the dust settles from posting all of the Living Tournament links, feel free to bump your threads to the top (for that matter, feel free to bump even while it remains dusty). In all, I am taking the opportunity to launch this system now while the subforums are still new, hoping it will cause the least amount of distraction to other worthwhile conversations and topics.

Once all the various Living Tournament links are in place, it will be fine for them to drop off the radar, returning to the surface whenever someone posts a result to a given thread. As results are updated, I'll update this thread to keep the Library close to the top. I'll also be making formal request to the forum moderators that this Library/World Rankings thread be stickied, as I believe that would serve everyone well.

Hope you enjoy playing in the tournaments!

Okay everybody, the links for all of the Core Scenarios are set up and ready for action.

So, feel free to start playing and posting your results!

I'm going to take a break from making new threads, but I'll be continuing the set up process for the remaining scenarios soon.

Again, if this onslaught of posts has pushed one of your threads out of the picture, I do apologize. Feel free to bump what you wish. This window of time (shortly after the initial set up of the subforums) really did seem like the opportune moment to do this initial set up for the Living Tournament scene in as least disruptive a manor as possible.

Have fun!

Juice.. you are seriously an insane madman. Bless you .. but also.. go get out of the house and get a life mate.

Thanks booored. I'm actually off to go do some of that right now...

But, I'll be back to finish the set up job over the next 48 hours.

Just so you know, good sir, my play group and I are VERY excited about this, and you work will not be in vain! Thanks so much for our time and effort!

Thank you hRMNerdBoy! That's great to hear! I appreciate your thoughts and encouragement. I'm looking forward to your posts and your tales of adventure.

I find anticipation to be such an enjoyable experience, and it's pretty exciting to set the stage here and imagine all the possibilities for fun that lie ahead.

Also, sometimes it seems like some of the best fun requires some work to get there. Glad to do it!

And speaking of which...

...the rest of the Mirkwood Cycle is up!

After a short break, I think I'll attempt posting the threads for the mines of Khazad-dûm tonight!

I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
