Dcal12 1 Posted February 16, 2012 Just making sure I am playing right. Fireball can use the flamethrower one hex away from a building and flame the adjacent hex (between Fireball and building), the first hex in the building and one hex up from that hex (second level of the building)? If it was adjacent to the building, it could still only flame the adjacent hex (inside the building) and one hex up from that hex (second level)? Thanks Dan
Dakkon426 0 Posted February 16, 2012 As long as you have LOS and within 3 Range you can hit it. so for the Fireball on the Tile one away from the building you would be able to hit the the adjacent tile, the door way and the second floor because although you lose 1 range when attacking the second floor or any floor above the first the second floor is still only 2 spaces away. It is the same when you are adjacent to the building and technically every floor is the same distance from the outside entrance for the purpose of range
Gimp2 0 Posted February 17, 2012 Elevations are not as big as lateral distances, so only applying a one space range modifier works until you get to very tall structures. It acknowledges both the extra distance and the difficulty of engaging targets that are elevated above the normal terrain.
