What Happens After a Day/Night Card is Destroyed?

Question:  What time of day is it when the only Day/Night card in play is destroyed, and isn't being replaced by another Day/Night card in the process?

For example, my opponent has Beneath the Burning Sun in play.  I destroy it with Burrowing Beneath.  There are no other Day cards in play.  Is it still Day (and thus cards benefiting from the Day keyword keep their bonuses), or does it revert back to Twilight?

I believe it is then neither Day nor Night.  There is no longer any card stating that it is one of them, after all.

Yeah, we're not 100% sure.  Some of the players in our group are arguing that it stays Day/Night because the keyword wasn't replaced by anything (i.e. another Day/Night card), others are saying that it reverts back to Twilight because the keyword is no longer in play.

So far I haven't been able to find anything in the rules, FAQ or on this board that offers an official clarification, but I could easily be missing something - it wouldn't be the first time.

If there is no Day or Night card, it is not Day or Night. On page 14 of the rules, it states:

 

Day and Night

Some cards in the game change the "time" to either Day or Night (neither of which ahve any specific effect, but allow other specific card effects to be active). At the beginning of the game it is neither Day or Night.  It is not considered to be Day or Night unless there is a Day or Night card in play.
