Ghaladen 0 Posted December 17, 2011 Hey everyone, I've had these books on my shelf for a few months, so now I'm considering trying up a game over Skype Group Video (face to face players aren't really interested in Anima), perhaps Monday nights 8pm CST. So, I would like to garner interest and see who would want to play. I will warn you, while I've DMed multiple campaigns spawning many different systems, none have been Anima. Plus it will be a few weeks before I'm ready to run, but at least we could get started on signups and characters. Anyway, reply if interested. As a side note, I also record audio of all my game sessions, so do be mindful of that if you're squeamish about having your voice recorded.
Xeke 0 Posted December 19, 2011 You have my interest, though I have not picked up Dominus Exxet or Those Who Walked Among Us yet. (plan to, but was hoping to go PDF but those may not appear legally any time soon if at all, from the sounds of it)
Arikail 0 Posted December 19, 2011 I'd love to get involved and actually PLAY some Anima, rather than running it. Ah, the curse of the GM, always the Master, never the Player. So, keep us informed.

So, keep us informed. I have to agree with Arikail on this one. It would be nice to be a player in the game. As per what class, I'll be a Mage. I am undecided between wanting to play a Wizard or Warlock, but I definitely want to be one of the two.
nethru 0 Posted December 19, 2011 I just got the main book and game looks very interesting and would love to play it. I use Skype but don't have a webcam to do video chatting but can still talk.
cdcace 3 Posted December 19, 2011 I'm willing to join if you will have me, Just like the others I suffer from only being able to be Gm of games so I'm cursed to have so many characters that can only be NPCs not actually players. Will we be starting at level one or Higher? Any restrictions I should be aware of before making a character? Also just putting it out there, if lots of people are unable to use Video Chat, the program TeamSpeak 3 is very good for large groups and doesn't take much RAM to use. As for me I'm available to use Video Chat so its not a problem for me. CDC
Ghaladen 0 Posted December 19, 2011 Wow, that was fast. Great to see the interest. I will try to come up with restrictions and what not in the next few days. I will start this game at level 1, and considering that there is only the core book/supplement book/campaign setting book in existence, for the time being I'm fine with the kitchen sink (subject to change though). I probably won't start this game until sometime in January, so that gives people time to set up characters, come up with backstories, etc. I'm waiting till Christmas Break next week, as I'll have the time off work to write the story, so I'll have more info about where we're starting and what's going on then. Skype Group Video is a rather important piece, as I have a certain amount of disdain of running games online the traditional way (maptools/ventrilo). I'm going to try to run this game like a traditional face-to-face game, meaning I will have a GM Screen up, I'll be using real dice and real books and I won't use miniatures or a virtual tabletop. You are all welcome to do the same, although there are Skype apps for dice rolling and things of such. I'm hoping the video piece will help facilitate better roleplay than past experiences have warranted. That said, it's understandable if you don't have a webcam, and while I'd like you to pick up one eventually, I won't forbid you from playing if you don't. The Skype Group Video requirements are actually pretty modest, as a Core Duo should be pretty commonplace in most modern computers. The major issue I can foresee is bandwidth. But we'll have to see, we've tested group video with 4 players once and we didn't have an issue, so I'm confident it will hold up with a full party. Also there are other devices that have Skype apps (iPhone/iPad/Android/etc) which you can use as well, but they only allow audio only as well. Still an option, though. Sidisessinu 0 Posted December 19, 2011 I would love to join in and play.... but unfortunately for me, my work scheduale won't allow it. Now if it was a Sunday, Wensday, or Thursday I could join in... stupid bosses.... Well if my work times change, I'll let you know, unless you got a full party by then.... Natso 0 Posted December 22, 2011 Consider me interested. I've got a webcam & can handle skype, and have just the core rulebook for Anima. If you put up here a way to contact you I'll get in touch. Days of the week and times are generally not an issue for me.
Cranza 0 Posted December 22, 2011 Please count me in. I am ST'ing a couple games and would love to actually join one as a player... though i guess im just like everyone else lol. My computer can handle skype fine and I can just buy a video cam if you have the room for me. I also own all of the books and I think a very through understanding of the rules.
