Artifacts

I'm familiar with the Artifact creation rules that have been floating around the Internet where each level of the Artifact Advantage provides a certain number of DP and Gnosis to use for purchasing powers.  I recall reading somewhere that Arcana Exxet would have a section on Arcane Artifacts and how to create them.  For those of you familiar with the book, are the rules drastically different from the fan-made ones that have been tossed around?  Are there any particular limitations or bonuses that should be considered when making artifacts?

Simply Arcana Exxet never included that section in the end...It was planned to be there, but in the end they put other stuff in that book and the whole Artifact Section was cancelled...we will have to wait more, I guess to see it...

And I believe that was the reason for the fan-made ones that you are talking about. We knew for quite some time those rules had been removed, or at least, I'd seen references to the removal of the Artifact Creation rules quite some time ago (keep in mind, only been looking and playing for a little over a year). I think I recall seeing a mention somewhere that it was getting it's own book, maybe. I could be vastly mistaken on that last point, though.

Thanks for the replies.  I hadn't heard anything about it before, but then I stumbled on an old preview post (on rpg.net, I think) that listed the chapters and the one on artifacts was included.  So, if official artifacts get their own book it'll be quite some time before we see it in the US.  Not good news, but at least there's still the unofficial rules to work with.
