Brother-Captain Belfire 0 Posted September 25, 2011 Hello all once again.Since i am doing a all day gaming seasion on saturday I plan to do several missions. The first on out of this will be a fight between two groups, the sons of judgement(a dark angel chapter successor) and the Arcane Devastations(thousand sons splinter war band). The Sons of Judgement have a Witch Hunter with them, Aniketos(the final inquisitor to give the acolytes permission to inquisitor hood). They are on a abandoned mining world, Nanme. Why are both Marine groups here? Simple to aquire/destroy a 'special' servor skull Sons of Judgements reasons To destroy the Servo skull. It is a abomination that contains information about all demononlogy in it To defeat and pass 'judgement' on the Arcane Devastations Arcane Devastations reasons The servoskull contains info that they would love to get their hands on and kill anyone for it! To whipe out the Sons of Judgement, duh. Now why is this servo skull so important, besides being a mobile grimore of true names/libera daemonica, it is sentiant. It will make witty remarks, comments. and its name is bob(based from the dresden files). Now the acolytes will be fighting in abandoned mine shafts, narrow at times and large and wide. They will encounter chaos spawns in the narrow hall ways. I plan to have to acolytes enter a very, very dark area(which is a psychic blank zone) and there will be a chaos dread waiting for them in their, but not your random "stabity!stabity!stabity!" chaos dread but a cunning and patient one, Huron Maldir. (which i need stats for) the acolytes will have to take a -30 perception test. If any of the acolytes pass they hear the sillent creaking of gears. The lights will flash on and blind the acolytes for 1d5 rounds where the dread will announce himself to them. With the dread are 10 thousand sons with him. combat will begin and once the acolytes slay the thousand sons the dread will retreat and collapse a tunnel behind him. As the acolytes wander through the tunnels they have a 10% chance of finding bob wandering the tunnel. there is another 5% chance that they will encounter marines from either of the two groups(or the inquisitor! yikes!). As they encounter bob he will probe them for question, dodging easily if anyone them attacks him. He will join the psyker as a familiar(the cleric has excalibur, the assasin is trying to create a daemonic familiar to get back his deamon from his deamon sword, and the guardsmen will get his turn next mission) If they do not get bob they will continue to wander down the caverns having a 30% chance of finding Apollyon Darius Chapter master of the Sons of Judgment, Hebron Justinian captain of the 6th company or Baltus Antipatros the corrupted apothecary. Baltus would love to collect the bodies of fallen marines, and the acolytes! Balus created a drug that if he dies it automaticly restarts his nervous system and heart, repairing them. Baltus will be the final boss of this mission so if the acolytes stumble upon him the two champions from the Sons of judgement will appear with the acolytes. Combat will begin and after they 'kill'' batlus the Chapter Master will ask them questions. Who are you, what is your purpose here, who is your inquisitor, ect. If any of the acolytes trys to loots baltus body, baltus punches them in the jaw(breaking it in the process) and her runs Second mission Kaiju on Kuluth As the title suggests the acolytes will fight a Kaiju, more specificly King Ghidorah. Yup im setting them up for pain. They will also encounter War, the minor chaos god of blood, servant to Khorne. They will encounter guardsmen from the deathkorps of krieg(why?because my guardsmen pc says thats where he came from. I am okay with it) Their immediate ally they encounter on Kuluth is a a guardsmen named Leon, the only one who is not affected by wars chaos influce(null for the win).He will tell them to follow his lead and not to do anything extremly stupid. He will lead them into a small encampment filled with guardsmen and the commisionar(who is possed by War) A few seconds later Ghidorah appears and tears through the camp, reducing all the acolytes to 1 wounds. The commisionar will be standing there laughing like a mad man, proclaiming that Ghidorah was a tool of khorne(which he is not) Now why is Ghidorah here? 1. food. All those humans tast yummy! 2. destruction. He loves to destroy and wants a challenge since kaiju are spread across the galaxy Wars reason to rise above the Blood God himself posseded the commisionar to send fresh recruits to their deaths. Im still working on it Comments, questions, or Critique?
Gurkhal 110 Posted September 26, 2011 Regarding the first one, your Acolytes will need to be pretty good in combat if they are to slice through Chaos Space Marines in numbers, and even more so with the Thousand Sons. Why they would lie in ambush in a psyhic blank spot is beyond me, but I understand that it might make it easier for your Acolytes. I could be wrong of course. Brother-Captain Belfire 0 Posted September 26, 2011 They are pretty compitent in combate but agaisnt a dread i belive they would be wasted and thrown out like trash. Also the reason it waits in a null zone is becuase one of the pcs is a psyker so that forces him to use melee. Plus if any of the acoyltes attacks the dread he putns them into a wall of the cavern making several acolyte shapped dents
Gurkhal 110 Posted September 27, 2011 Ok, that explain things. Thanks for clearing it up.
Brother-Captain Belfire 0 Posted September 27, 2011 Mind you they wont die if they hit the wall but take 1d5 damage ignoring armor. If they encounter either of the spacemarine heros they will be taken to their encampment inside the mines where they will meet a small but deadly force of marines. Brother-Captain Belfire 0 Posted October 3, 2011 Hello All once again. We have started the first mission and the group has encountered the dread and his group of rubric marines. Now they dont know its a null zone and the psyker ahs but on his null ring to prevent psychic powers from hurting him. Also the acolytes have angered the Sons of Judgement chapter because the assasin spoke the name of a daemon outloud(which got him shot in the chest by a bolter) any suggestions?
