Strange Eons - Resource Export

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to get the files used to put together the encounter cards. I extracted the jar using winrar and the method listed here; http://cgjennings.ca/eons/customization.html

I dug around but was only able to find the background for the card. But not the fiddly gray bits around the text.

In card-layout.txt it says there should be some files in the portraits directory like portraits/encounter-top-portrait.jpg ... But it isn't there. Any help?

Thanks.

If I understand you correctly, all of the files you are looking for should be in the templates folder. Most will probably be in .jp2 format (JPEG 2000), which many image editors don't know how to open. You might want to use the image resource browser plug-in to search for the images you are looking for visually. Note that if you have a recent version of Strange Eons (in which the image resources for Arkham Horror are split off into separate downloads), then the images you are looking for will be in the relevant plug-in(s) in your plug-in folder rather than in the main application jar. Finally, if using Strange Eons 3, then note that the equivalent of the image resource browser plug-in is built in. When choosing an image file (e.g., for a portrait), Shift+Click the file folder icon to open the resource browser instead of a file browser. Clear as mud?

Cheers,
Chris

Thanks.

The image resource browser plug-in certainly makes going through the files easier!

I do have a recent version so I do have split off plug-in files (.selibrary). And that explains why I couldn't find 'em.

Thanks!
