Fast Co. 0 Posted July 31, 2011 This is them, in part. Note the modified figure I use for Joe in the centre foreground. I have many turrets made up, this is to illustrate that I can make all my walkers Pounders, I also have 2 mickeys, a Steel Rain, a scratchbuilt AA turret and a modified Hot Dog turret. Note the Pershing Heavy Walker to the far left. A Hot Dog I can stomach AA and Artillery Turrets Mickey's with added flash suppressors for style. CombatRanger 0 Posted July 31, 2011 Awesome work!! are you going to provide a tutorial??
Lotus 0 Posted July 31, 2011 Sweet! You beat me to the Pershing, too. Nice job. Got a heavy almost done, myself. It has some Pershing details but I went w/ the angled armor more like a wolverine or a GMC Tank killer and retro'd it. Great mod on Joe, too. He looks like part of the company now. All looks top notch.
DoomOnYou72 1 Posted July 31, 2011 Thats an awesome job man on all of these and your other posts. Painting, converting, and theme are all cool and well executed. Are you going to be sticking to Dust Tactics or moving onto Dust Warfare. Id love to see the terrain you come up with for a real table. Thanks for sharing man. player359820 0 Posted July 31, 2011 Wow, great work. You inspire me to finish my allies! How did you do your Joe? I was going to use a generic squad leader, and mod the weapon and head. Do you have a better idea?
Aldarion2 1 Posted August 1, 2011 Awesome looking! An impressive sight to see them all matched up...
Fast Co. 0 Posted August 1, 2011 Joe is made of Joe's head, legs and left arm from the elbow down (ie his pistol). Then his torso, right arm and left upper arm is a 'leader' model, I get rid of the stupid pointing lower arm and stick on a readied pistol and glue the rest together, highly recommend this, It makes a very cool commander. Oh also, though you can't see it on this pic, I modeled his arm and hand off of the grenade launcher, which I then slung on his back, stock upright over his left shoulder. So mine is holding a rifle, which let's you use it as a normal leader of a unit, or you can cut it off and model on his grenade launcher, the key was to keep his shoulderpads and armour, so I skipped just putting his original right arm on at the shoulder. My next mech will be a wolverine turret on a pounder body, with Dust fig's converted, since it's an open cockpit, should be fun, probably going to just stick upper bodies on the 1/48 scale legs that come with the kit, given that Tamiya has figs in it's kit. As for whether or not I'm going to the tabletop game, of course, I'm a gamer from way back, got into warhammer in '91 and actually worked with Theguildllc (who you may recognize from this forum) in a GW store. I don;t even have high hopes for the tabletop, I just know it's going to be for the miniatures we all have, written by Andy Chambers, and used by more people than any of the quasi-homebrew games out currently for WWII, it should be just what we want. Lastly, as for a step by step, I think if you go to my profile you can see past posts I've made, not too many, and I posted there a comprehensive list of what I did for my americans and why, if there is a way to link another post, please tell me and I'll do the leg work and post it here. But I'll say this, get yourself a clear floor varnish, do not dilute it with water, and put paint in it and use it for a wash. I paint major colours on a model and then wash the whole thing with diluted black washes, and crank out good stuff in no time at all.
wminsing 31 Posted August 1, 2011 Love the AA turret in particular. -Will
Fast Co. 0 Posted August 1, 2011 Here's a close up of Sigrid and Joe, and a reposting of my Apes from another thread, since I uploaded newer pics of them with flock on their bases. \ Here's an example of a simple conversion to make my BBQ squad leader more distinct. (note that all these extra Joe parts come from a multitude of sets my friends and I bought.) I actually painted the names of these three on the bottom of their bases. Titus, Cassius and Brutus. traderghost 0 Posted August 3, 2011 Fast, your whole company looks so intimidating! Very nicely done, I must say , and superb photography too! Your Joe's skull insignia on the left shoulder pad looks like a Ghost Recon! I like it. And the best of all, I love the names you give to your gorillas. I will also give names to my pets once they arrived. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work!
Error 718 0 Posted August 14, 2011 hey, nice army...is that a sherman at the end of the line i spy?....if so is it 1/48 scale one? how long you been collecting?
Peacekeeper_b 5 Posted August 14, 2011 Love your Sigrid. Normally I think she is the second worst model in the line (behind Joe) but adding the cap (Axis officer?) and repositioning the arm, simple conversions I never thought of! As I eyeball my razor baldes and stare at Sigrid, I ponder her fate LOL.

Dogged 0 Posted August 17, 2011 I hope you are satisfied now. I just had to make an emergency appointment with my dentist to fix my jaaw! It keeps dropping to the ground every darn time I see those pictures! Seriously, just great! I downloaded the page just to take a look later...
Fast Co. 0 Posted August 19, 2011 as cool as mechs are, you gotta have tanks. partly because it makes the walkers that much more special to have them in support of the 'main line', and secondly there were still a LOT of tanks in 1945. That is a sherman, m1a4 I think. And I might have parked a greyhound m8 in there, but with a Pounder turret on it.

Yeah, Ive been thinking about getting some german tanks to use as counts as walkers, or maybe get a super heavy tank to count as one of the heavy walkers.
