Major Mishap 33 Posted June 15, 2011 Nice, keep looking at these myself, but... having it in your hand, what armour would you rate it infantry 4 or tank?

I would also think it would be armour 3 with 4 boxes
Pooflinger76 0 Posted June 16, 2011 thats awesome dude, I know whats next on my dust models wish list! I love the rusty tanks on its back, is that just paint? Also I would think it looks about as heavily armored as a luther (armor 4)but would have to see them side by side.
theguildllc 0 Posted June 16, 2011 Ok so here's the size comp photos. Yes, its all my work. Yes, thats paint on the rusty tanks (base with bestial brown, stipple orange, wash brown, stipple boltgun). I have no ideas about armor values. Yes, the base is vert plain, I gave up on the model once I realized it would be DQ'ed in the paint contest. SOTR on the left, DT in middle and SOTR (INCURSION) on the right.
theguildllc 0 Posted June 16, 2011 better 'bot size comp photo
Poyet 0 Posted June 17, 2011 Thank you very much theguildllc. You are my favourite human being on planet right now .
Major Mishap 33 Posted June 17, 2011 Awesome, you've gridded out your kitchen so so can play DT while making dinner The KV is a lot bigger than the impression I got from the comic, I thought them more of the AT43 model size. Looking at the photo, definately Tank armour for the KV. Just need to wait for anothe free postage offer to get Otto now.
Myrnir 0 Posted June 17, 2011 Yep with that size comparison and vehicle base, I'm guessing the KV is a vehicle type. Very nice! Can't wait for the Sino-Soviets!!!!
theguildllc 0 Posted June 17, 2011 Glad to be of help. The at43 kolossus are going to stand in as grim reapers for the SSU for now. Not sure the wife is happy about WW2.5 taking place during dinner prep.
Poyet 0 Posted June 17, 2011 Cool Idea!!Colossus i far more Diesel punk ww2 weird tech than power armour like grim reapers .I am happy that i collect axis :>
BlckWulf 0 Posted July 21, 2011 Ughh! makes me wish I never sold all my AT-43 Red Blok stuff and I had a lot oh well live and learn
Lotus 0 Posted July 21, 2011 Awesome work, Bro. You definitely captured the Soviet Tank feel. Down and dirty, thick, and mean. I can picture a few thousand of these overrunning the Germans after losing as many. (There was actually a battle sort of like that but i forget which one it was)
riftsinger 0 Posted July 21, 2011 nice work, nice design
reptilebro1 1 Posted July 22, 2011 I really like your paint job what color did you use as your base. I had bought the FOW Russian armor spray paint and it is a very dark green. tours seems a little lighter.
Lieutenant A.C 0 Posted April 2, 2012 Hi the guildllc, What did you use as paint (may be green russian, but little more dark) to make your amazing kv 47?
theguildllc 0 Posted April 2, 2012 @LT. A.C. I painted it the same way I did the Fury of Ivan. Theres a How2 under the Painting Techinques tab, page 4 I think. Just use less of the light green. Work your way up to the green shade you like and leave it at that, though the pics of the Fury are brighter than the actual model. Hope that helps.
