guest461286 0 Posted June 6, 2011 In your opinion, how many Goblins can attack a Dwarf at once?I had a situation in which 15 Goblins attacked an Ironbreaker in the same turn.Do you find this logical? In general, what is the logical number of enemies that can surround and attack a single target,in your opinion?(for humanoid characters)
Ralzar 198 Posted June 6, 2011 Hm, interesting question. The system doesn't really represent one attack each turn though, more like a constant back-and-forth, so that might explain how 15 goblins could attack at once. If I was going to houserule it though, I guess I'd set something like a limit of 8 for small creatures like goblins and 6 for nomral sized creatures. After that, the hero gets the effect Overwhelmed and possibly Entangled.

CaffeineBoy 0 Posted June 6, 2011 Seems to me that 15 goblins on one dwarf is a bit excessive. No more than a dwarf should be able to handle obviously <insert dwarfish bluster here> but excessive nonetheless... Were you running them using the henchmen rules? Even though so many fortune dice would be brutal, it might be better than 15 individual hits and 15 individual piles of wounds to burn through. Or not. They are goblins, after all. I do think Ralzar's idea of slapping on the Overwhelmed condition is a good one. At least until the Ironbreaker crushes some of the opposition into a green paste. Then the goblins should get the Crapping-Their-Pants condition. (Can you tell I have an Ironbreaker in my game? Not that I'm bitter...)
guest461286 0 Posted June 6, 2011 I used the henchmen rules. There were 3 teams of five goblins each.
Gallows 234 Posted June 7, 2011 15 henchmen goblins. Henchmen groups only make one attack right? Never use henchmen. In that case it's just 5 attacks. But 15 goblins could easily make 15 attacks in a round... it's not like they all attack within 6 seconds. A round may be 30 seconds or more depending on how you narate it.
