Moiterei_1984 0 Posted June 5, 2011 Hello guys, i was a wargamer for about 14 years befor this absolute amazing game came into my view. At the moment I´m painting the models from the "Operation Blue Thunder" Starterbox and wanted to present ´em to you. Comments and critic allways welcome. (Please forgive me my English... reading is much easier then speaking or writing^^) Here they are: First the newest ones... German Lasergrenadier-Sqad 666kb.com/i/bu3ir9lm2re2oy85c.jpg 666kb.com/i/bu3iukx90da88hbr4.jpg 666kb.com/i/bu3ivvbk2s16x6lz4.jpg By the way, if anyone could tell me how to infix the photos directly into the site I would be very pleased. Moiterei_1984 0 Posted June 5, 2011 And here come the Kampfsturmgrenadier-Squad (Kampfsturmgrenadier dosn´t sound very well in German) 666kb.com/i/bu3j1chg9431sfcn4.jpg 666kb.com/i/bu3j7vjenmn3tbm4g.jpg 666kb.com/i/bu3j8ke7s85lo951c.jpg The Squad was the first I painted for the Axis forces... but until yesterday they all were dressed in the white uniforms. Because of the easier Erbsentarn-sheme I tried to paint them so that they aren´t looking totally strange next to the Lasergrenadiere.

theguildllc 0 Posted June 5, 2011 Great job, whats your formula for the Oak A/B camo? And what about those walkers? In fact, how about a 'how to' article? Im sure im not the only one who would love some pointers.
Moiterei_1984 0 Posted June 11, 2011 Hello guys, today there are some new german troops on their deployment together with a short and simple how-to for the camouflage. Step 1: Painting the basic colours -Catachan Green (GW) -Graveyard Earth (GW) -Black Grey for the boots (VGC) Step 2: Add some patches of Catachan Green and Camo Green (both Citadel colors again), it shouldn´t look too regular. Step 3: And now add some small dots of Camo Green in the Catachan Green patches and the other way round Than some dots of the colours above all over the Graveyard Eartth... That´s it... now I´ve washed the whole misery with Devlan Mud and the quick ´n easy camouflage is done. I highlighted the green stripe and the cuffs with a 1/1 mix of Catachan Green and Knarloc Green. New units arrived: That´s it for the moment. I´ll hope you enjoy the pics and if there are any questions left... just ask! Edit: Just seen, that the **** site cut off my pics on the right... GRIMACHU 0 Posted June 11, 2011 Lovely stuff. Very gritty looking. Makes me think of Skaro in Baker era Dr Who somehow (that's a good thing). I'm going to keep things pretty simple when I get around to painting mine as I'm so horribly out of practice. Camo, washes, highlights and weathering I think. I like that you didn't go with arctic camo, I'll be avoiding that too I think but I have a hankering to do the Laser Grenadiers in more of a black/SS sort of look. Major Mishap 33 Posted June 11, 2011 You make me sick....... .....with envy As to the cropped pics, you need to keep them to 640 pix wide.
theguildllc 0 Posted June 11, 2011 Fantastic! I do mostly 'peadot' camo but ix in a bit of Oak and in the future will be useing your meathod.
[So]Rice 0 Posted June 11, 2011 You're camo is the same technique as mine, just differnt colors. Liking your army very much especially the tanks.

Major Malfunction 0 Posted June 12, 2011 Dcal12 said: And the winner of the painting contest is...... Not gonna be me. Great work and sources of inspiration. While I like the snow theme better personally, these grass and rough based minis look fantastic. Excellent work.

Pooflinger76 0 Posted June 18, 2011 All your stuff is incredible! Sorry to copy but that camo pattern is too cool not to put on my recon grenadiers.
