GTG Games & Hobbies - AGOT Players - UK / Midlands

Hello.  If you are in the Midlands or near to you are welcome to join our players at GTG Games and Hobbies.  We have a 2 floor store (top floor is dedicated gaming) and can seat around 50 players (if organised).  We have a playerbase of 10-12 regular AGOT players and our number is growing.

We are already and Advanced Status MTG and Yugioh event store.

 This sounds interesting - It's good that you have a player base of 10-15 players - which is more than can be said of the player base in London. It would be good to see an event, maybe a tournament, sometime soon based in your store. I would say there are about 7-8 of us down in London who try to meet up regularly, there's a couple based in Bath and I know there's a few down in Brighton too but not seen them on the boards recently. The Midlands, as the name suggests, is pretty central to everybody.

If so, that would get us close to 30 people - more than enough for a tournament. It's about time we entertain the US and mainland European crowd with some tourney reports of our own, dont'cha think?

Thanks.  The game has grown from simply being seen to be played.  As we have the luxury of a large store plus gaming floor we get a lot of Card Game action.  As the players of MTG and Yu-Gi-Oh have seen us playing and then of course the HBO series has appeared, the appeal has been greater.

We have yet to organise a full on tournament as quite a few are waiting for restocks of the Core set.  FFG missed the boat here as we have not been able to get it for over a month now.  Once everyone has their Core and can get the proxies removed I think we will be going for gold and getting a proper event goi

Please do post when you have more details and as long as it is after 20th July I know myself and the girl would be up for a weekend away in Stoke, we travel by public so the further ahead of time the better for us from Bath, p.s. does your store have a song of silence?  I still haven't found that in the UK.

We can probably accommodate a date that suits everyone.  Once we have the Core sets back we can take a look at the GTG calender and propose a weekend.  Regarding Song Of Silence it appears that Europe got overlooked or something.  Again, its one we have on pre-order ready for its arrival.

 Europe hasn't been overlooked for Song of Silence.  It's just that Esdevium screwed up.  I got my copy from Germany.....

In other news.  We have a night of AGOT at GTG next week on Thursday.  Store is open from 12 for general play and then from 5pm onwards its purely Game Of Thrones.  Any players in the area that can make it to sunny Stoke On Trent are welcome to join us. There is plenty of room, we can accomodate up to 40 players.
