Hope for any of the players will help  this house rule. He is still in the middle of deciding what xp should reward the players. And the system we are in is the system with the righteous path,

 

flame weapon (universal) --> not worth it people can dodge the flames easily so I will only use when they already spent the dodge skill. So the +20 to dodge for the enemy does not matter.

Intimidate  --> I will have a S of 80(with power armour)

So my plan for level 2:
Combat Formation --> 500 xp (great with good quality cortical implant *2 intelligence for the whole team for initiative)
Tracking --> 200 xp
Rapid reload --> 200 xp
takedown --> 200 xp
true grit --> 200 xp
dodge +10 --> 200 xp
Scholastic lore (tactica Imperialis) +10 --> 200 xp
Awareness +10 --> 200 xp
Willpower +5 --> 500 xp
Acrobatics --> 200 xp
Sound Constitution --> 200 xp
BS +5 --> 250 xp

What do you guys think?

Should I take Common Lore(War)+10 instead of Sound Constitution ?

I also found out that heavy weapon mastery has a +10 to hit,+2 to damage,+2 to initiative.

I was planing to befriend the mutants from the ship underdecks(those that can be befriended without the crew knowing,others outside the rogue trader) and in return for better conditions,food they will be made loyal to the rogue trader and could repair,maintain the equipment in the underdecks. After I make sure they are not tainted by chaos and are loyal(purge the disloyal and corrupted ones) I could train the mutants as a secret crack security teams that can be activated in emergency situations (when the ship is invaded). The mutants will be have a counter in the much numerous crew crack security team. We will also find almost all the little secrets of the ship. 

This way we will have an early warning system that things like the ork infestation will not go undetected. We can also use as shock troops to take ships that we will have any of their crew alive after we capture their ship.

If not I will take the crew and purge the underdecks of life.

For acquiring good quality arsmen and not cannon fodder (especially an stormtrooper detachment) we will need to have a highter profit factor that 30 to succeed in the acquisition tests. There is a huge slew of negative modifiers for acquiring troops worth their salt.

What do you think about my ideas?

I was lucky the orks wanted to vent their fury on the heavy bolter turret and not me. I would have burned for sure a fate point if the orks attacked me as they attacked the heavy bolter turret.

Another question should Holt rely on the knowledge skills of magos nihlus and the void master? Or should I take almost all the lore advances I can get?

More than likely we should take what skills we can. First of all the others are on a different ship and second i don't really trust their motives. So yes, our characters should be able to multitask if possible. Anyway, your idea should greatly improve ship security performance.

Hi guys I have some good news and some bad news to some of you. In our last game we had a mix amount of good times and bad times. I am here to give you two points that need to be addressed. The first point is XP awards that you have been waiting for are finally here.

Thor - 1000 XP
Barddoc - 1000 XP
BBT - 1000 XP
Timeless - 1000 XP
Void - 0 XP [1000 XP (-500 XP from Game Disruptions, - 500 XP for Rude behaviour in public ventrillo server)

The second point that has to be addressed is the permanent ban of one of the players from the game. I am sorry to say that the player has to be banned to to repeated disturbances, cheating, and rude behaviour and verbal abuse to other players has to be Void_Onion.

* When in a meeting with other administrators of the ventrillo server, you have been flagged as distrubing the general server community while I was not online and they have voted to ban you from the server in conjuction with my vote for the above reasons.

* The problem that you have is not the character or the game mechanics of playing a Rogue Trader but the attitude you have displayed is less then admirable and the other players have contacted me about this issue and told me how it is disturbing the game and their personal enjoyment of the game time.

* In addition, based on an earlier post of yours that you could keep this character as a single player character that is fine by me but you will need to find another Game Master as the game I am running requires 2+ players and that seems to be one to many for your play style. So please do not come back if you attempt to come back into the server or cause any trouble then actions will be taken.

As for the rest of the group we will be meeting at the same time and continue were we left off, a new development and adventure awaits you with all the new toys and trinkets that you might find in the Path.

 Hi guys bringing you another update after reviewing all the characters and doing some research for the game I have come to the conclusion that we have some very large power games in the base stat lines. I am requesting from all the players that they redo their stats using the point buy system. I will be allocating 135 points for all to work with. Special notes on how to spend this points. You can not spend more then 25 points in a single stat and you must spend at least 5 points in each stat. In addition to the point buy system rework, all players will get max fate points for starting minus burned fate points used in last game. This is to bring all player characters in line with the new balance of the game. I do apologize for the sudden change but this will help new candidates that wish to join the game be in equal ground and allows me to better judge a character that is being submitted without putting in question the honor of said player with his or her rolls. One final note before I have to head out to do some additional work is that anyone that wishes to join feel free to submit a character we meet in a ventrillo server from 7 PM until we finish the game or I have to go on Saturdays. I am still considering doing all rolls on my end to stop debates on fairness of rolls but I am searching for a neutral resource so that all have a chance to roll the dice and all can see them.

A question old players will redo the initial stats to reflect the point buy characteristic of 135 with your limit(max 25 a stat and min 5 a stat). Is that correct?

 that is correct Thor, you spend 5 points per stat and then you can spend up to 20 additional points on a stat to a total of 25 points allocated into that stat.

I am pretty sure we are still accepting new players.  Our group does not have a navigator or a missionary so either of them would be a valuable addition.  Can you tell us anything about what kind of character you are looking to play as?

Well preliminarily, If i where to roll the Missionary he would be motivated by conversion and the chance to spread the light of the god emperor to lost worlds. Basically he would agree to serve on a RTs vessel for the chance to covert. He would be extremely zealous with a lot of points in knowledge skill to help him in debating and convincing those lost to the Imperium convert. If he could not convert by word then he would covert them (to ash) by flame. He would also hate all Xenos passionately unless there are PC Xenos in which case that would create too much friction.

 

 

The navigator would be a hedonist from a high noble house solely motivated by pleasure and acquisition of things leading to pleasure. Instead of rolling on the mutation table I would choose bloated with the GMs permission as i think it would best fit this character. All of his free time and resources would be spent seeking pleasure.

Make sure the misonary does not hate mutants and it will be ok..

When creating a character please read what Asajev has said on the last page.

Yeah- With the warp Engine and Warpbane hull, a Navigator would be good, but it won't really bring anything fantastic to the table; a missionary would be good;  Granted we got 2 Mutants out of 4 players, but it's not like it's an obvious mutation as well (Brute mutation for both of them).  Worse case it will fall inot an debate as to waht is mutation and the nature of it.  Not to mention fill a gap that our lack of Senechal brings us; we need some knowledgable person; we know stuff, but not..how shall we say, more specific knowledge.

Plus I think  we're a pretty much Creed-minded (Or Omnissiah-inclinde) group, it should work out fine, short of the odd arguments due to the manners of doing things.

If you guys dont have an astropath that would be a lot of fun for me.  If thats ok with you Asajev, I will think of an idea for an astropath.  I think that would be more useful that a missionary.
