ASEO 0 Posted April 13, 2011 So, after suffering a series of brutal and immediate defeats in 6 Marine solo games, I started to keep track of what numbers I rolled. I roll "0" more than twice as often as I roll any other individual number. Anybody else suffering this? I was wondering if perchance the way the special die for the game was created that it might be unintentially weighted so that the "0" comes up more. Although the possibility also remains that my Die may be cursed, not properly charged, or I just have a *^$#ed up way of rolling. Perhaps I'll try using my dice tower, or a normal 6 sider for the next game...Canus my Marines need a frigg'n break and would love to make it past the void lock...eventually. Satoi 0 Posted April 14, 2011 I too felt cursed by the dice. My brother won't even play the game anymore; he lost his faith. My first thought was to track results as you are doing, but there are statistical issues with such a method and I found a physical test instead. Take a clear container large enough to hold several inches of water. Fill it. Place the die just below the surface of the water as level as you can and release it. Repeat this procedure several times with each of the faces upward and note how the die falls in the water. After I used this method to test my die I found that it did indeed consistently roll away from the 5 and 4 while showing not the slightest inclination to bounce away from the 0. Berf 3 Posted April 16, 2011 That dice is a thing of evil...it probably is made of pure chaos. Seriously FFG, that dice is weighted, right??
