Yes, it is the bane of Brotherhood decks everywhere.
goldenhk 0 Posted May 7, 2011 For Wicked Seductress, when we say it is knelt, does it mean it has to be knelt due to a card effect or to pay a cost? Therefore declaring her as attacker or defender doesn't count.

Kneeling a character when it is declared as an attacker or defender creates an "after a character is knelt" Response opportunity.Wasn't Wicked Seductress what you had in mind when you were asking about this then? Assuming she does get to be a twofer, and she is the only available option to use as military claim, does she die before using her ability or does the ability kick in and then she dies? I have ADD and the player action stuff in the FAQ is too dense for my simple mind to comprehend. Thanks.
ktom 598 Posted August 9, 2011 AceManUSC said: How does she work? After she goes from standing to kneeling, you choose and kneel a character without an INT icon. It doesn't matter how she is knelt. It could be by an opponent's "kneel a character" effect. It could be for declaring her as an attacker or defender. It could be to pay the cost of some "kneel a character" ability. Anything. The only thing that matters is that she starts standing and ends up kneeling.AceManUSC said: If she is knelt as a defender, can she then also use her response ability, basically acting as a twofer? What do you mean "a twofer"? You are not kneeling her as a cost of using her Response ability. You are using her Response ability in reaction to kneeling her. You're not getting something for nothing when you react to her kneeling, after all. But as mentioned above, it doesn't matter whether she was knelt for a "good" thing or a "bad" thing; it only matters that she was knelt.AceManUSC said: Assuming she does get to be a twofer, and she is the only available option to use as military claim, does she die before using her ability or does the ability kick in and then she dies? You have to use a Response immediately, or lose the opportunity. If you are Responding to her being knelt as a defender, that Response comes loooong before the challenge is actually resolved and the claim effects would be settled. You're going to want to work though some of the density in the FAQ. The timing structure of when Responses are played is something you really need to learn.
AceManUSC 0 Posted August 10, 2011 I totally agree the FAQ is important, I just don't get it. I wish they had a video that covered the windows. This game is so fun, but when things get hairy and complicated, I just defer to other players interpretation because I don't have the patience to sort it out. Your explanation of her in fact being a twofer seems to make her a very nice card against Bara, Stark, Targ, Greyjoy since they seem to have a lot of red and blue icons, but very few green. Thank you for taking the time to answer this question.
