In box Review of the Dust Models 1/48 Jagdluther Kit

Recommended Posts

Cool article. I can't wait to get my Fury of Ivan. I didn't realize that it came in parts like a model. I am definatly ordering mine when I get home. Please keep us posted on on how the building and painting goes.

It looks like your kit is missing the IR scope and MG42, I had the same issue with my kit. Other than that I loved the build, especialy the ability to pose the legs as desired.

Yes, I completely forgot to mention that. I noticed that when I was going through the parts. It's on the instructions but it isn't any where on the kit. I emailed Dust Studios and got the following response:

Dear Roger,

We made a mistake on the building instruction. The original plan we did not intended to build the infrared sight.

Since many people request, we are producing that extra part now. We will send that to you once it is done.

Regards,

Clement Boen

Hopefully they get the part made before I get to the end of the kit.

Yes.  I can't be 100% positive, but when you line the parts up with the models from the box kit, they are dead ringers.  I'd bet  That these sprues came out of the same mold that the standard models came from.

I've ordered the painted one myself a few weeks ago. But, they didnt give me any tracking number. Did you or can you get one? 2nd question, I'm reading som other forams the say we dont get the data cards anymore, is that true? I want to be able to game with it not impress the women by having it sit on my shelf.

I have seen on BGG site they have the cards posted on their site. I belive these cards were made before the final rules were finalized because they do not seem balanced with the walkers in the game. So you may have to make some adjustments if you want a balanced game. or not, depending on who you are.

If your first question reffers to the IR Scope.  I don't know.  I didn't need a tracking number, Dust Studios already had my email address from my order.  I'd ask them about the painted version.  As for the card.  It is true that they don't come from the factory with a card (at least mine didn't).  But as Reptilebro said, both the Jagdluther and Fury of Ivan cards have been posted on boardgamegeek.

I got my Fury of Ivan Kit today. Very cool model can not wait to get started on it tonight. I also don't know if it is because this model is maybe less popular than the Jagdluther, but mine came with the card.

Now I just have to go through my At-43 minis and make some Sino-Soviet troops to play with and I will have a nice little Sino army.
