TechVoid 1 Posted January 4, 2011 Hi, I have a little question: The support token let's you re-roll a failed attack. Now I just do not know if a Flamer attack can fail. You ignore the skulls and kill a number of GS instead as the number shows. Well, if you roll a 0, does that mean you failed? Failed in the sense to trigger a support token. Furthermore do you allow to re-roll any Flamer attack? We played it so far that you are allowed to use a support token to re-roll a Flamer attack if you are not satisfied with the number but then you have to take the new result normally. What do you say? Cheers, TechVoid.
Dam the Man 84 Posted January 4, 2011 Yes, it's an attack roll, only difference being that you don't look for a skull, you look for a high number.

Dam the Man 84 Posted January 5, 2011 There were quite a few question marks on your first post, not sure which one(s) you specifically wanted answered . Also, I think reading between the lines of my reply, all the questions were answered . Anyway, roll a 0, you kill 0 GS, so I suppose that's a failure, probably will want to reroll that. If you then roll a 1 and have still more Support tokens, you can reroll again. "A player may spend (discard) a Support Token fromone of his Space Marines when it is attacking ordefending to reroll a die that was just rolled. The rerolled result must be used instead of theoriginal roll (unless he rerolls the die again byspending another Support Token or with an ability)." (p. 15) You can spend until you're satisfied with the roll or run out of tokens.

But you're right. If a support token allows any attack to be re-rolled then there is nothing written about failure. I'll look it up. Thanks for your patience. Best regards, TechVoid. Blipt 0 Posted January 11, 2011 I have used a support token to re-roll a Flamer attack because it didn't kill enough Genestealers. Seems like a legit reason to me. You just have to keep the new roll.
