Lusankya 0 Posted January 4, 2009 Card says: "RETURN TO AIURImmediately place up to 8 transports on any navigation route(s). If you cannot place all 8 you may first voluntarily destroy any number of your transports.Your transports cannot be destroyed (except voluntarily) during the next round." So an Overmind player, which plays his level III card "THE SWARM FLIESDestroy up to 1 enemy transport on each navigation route." can destroy Tassadar's transports, because he uses his leadership card in the current round? Boromir 2 Posted January 4, 2009 If the Overmind plays his leadership III card before Tassadar, then it is possible to destroy transports of Tassadar, but Tassadar will be able to replace them whem Tassadars leadership card is played.

Yes, this is obvious, but I think the interesting question is wether they can be destroyed when the Overmind plays it after Tassadar; and here I think we should stick with the rules unless there's a clarification that states otherwise, which say they can be destroyed if it's before the beginning of the next round. Another question: If Tassadar played this card, and he uses the offensive module, is he forced to sacrifice one of his transports? The rules say you first have to destroy your transport to enter a base protected by an Air Support module (which are the abstract mechanics that swap cause and effect), but thematically they cannot be destroyed unless desired, so is it really necessary to destroy them? (I don't claim that only one of these two options can be explained thematically, the transports may become vulnerable when entering orbit, or they may not). Kamakaze1 0 Posted January 5, 2009 well it says "voluntarily", so he can choose to destroy one to use the module. Pretty sure that if one isnt destroyed you can't use it.

Either the card is wrong or we are missing a token. Corey, please clarify.
Boromir 2 Posted January 5, 2009 Your right, each fraction only has 7 transports. Strange???
Stefan 732 Posted January 5, 2009 Noticed that, too. You can really annoy you're fellow players by announcing that you will voluntarily destroy this or that transporter and then replace it with a new one the card grants you ^^
