Question about the hexes on the gameboard.

I just ordered BoW and the North and West expansion. After looking at pics and videos on BBG, the scale looks very close to Tide of Iron. Are the hexes the same size on the BoW and ToI?  If they are you can use some of the overlays from that game game as well.
