Dcal12 1 Posted November 13, 2010 I am working on a German warehouse in the Antarctica. The warehouse has some supplies for cover plus a couple of walkers that have not been painted yet. I plan on adding more supplies inside, some cover outside and finish the elevator control room. Also I plan on adding doors. Currently the Americans are approaching the warehouse, unaware that the Germans are preparing for an ambush.
Dcal12 1 Posted November 13, 2010 I guess the first picture was to big, it cut out half of the warehouse. Here is another picture.
guest99239 0 Posted November 13, 2010 Looks awesome - do i spy 2 lots of maps from the game? Only comment - may need another hangar door if your going to play with it - 1 door on its own may be too much of a choke point.

Guest Not In Sample Posted November 13, 2010 oh you suck !!!!!!!! , i am SOOOOOOOOOO jelous ! what are the clips holding the corners together , where did you get them ?
Dcal12 1 Posted November 13, 2010 Thanks Yeah I have two sets of maps. Bought the Deluxe Edition at GenCon and then had to buy a standard game too. Originally I had it set up with double wide doors on each end, but thought I would try this out first. Easier to add a door then one. I think I may need to put a couple of hanger doors on the long side. The clips I bought at a hobby store. I threw away the package, but I can find out the name of them. They were designed for the styrophome I made the building with. A couple things that are in the planning stage: Around the inside edge the warehouse, have a second level for troops only. Like a second tier to store equipment. Maybe make a house rule that from second level the enemy does not get cover rolls. Also thought attacks against walkers from the second level would attack on a lesser armor line. Less armor on the top. Maybe even extend the range one. Definitely need cover outside. Thought of raising all the game boards, so I could create a ditch, ravine or crevasse, I would seperate the boards by just 1/3 of the tile so troops could hunker down. Have a couple crossing for the walkers - Americans could use the JUMP rule. Don't think pine trees would necessairly be in the antarctica, so if not trees, thought of creating some snow or ice hills the size of one or two squares. Well, thats it for now. Let me know if anyone has any ideas.
MaxieTPB 0 Posted November 18, 2010 Very cool indeed! I'm getting all kinds of ideas and inspiration from this - thank you!
BigDogg 18 Posted November 20, 2010 nicly done - taking the scenerary to the next level is a good idea. We did something likes yours, just not as well executed as yours.

These are made by a company called Foamwerks http://www.foamwerks.com/tools/accessories/ The L clips are for corners and are great for this or actually building with foam core. Yeah, I am out of town right now, good time to paint my miniatures. But when I return i plan on putting a level around the inside edges, like pallet racking that will have ladders and storage. I like the idea of cranes. I also saw a model set that had welders, and engine lifts and things like that. I plan to add that to the warehouse. I also want to add cheese cloth for camouflage netting. I want it to look like a warehouse that takes deliveries then sends stuff down to the lower base and also out to other bases. Maybe adding a truck or jeep. It will be great when I can add the waterfront tiles. When you get yours started or done add pictures so I can get some ideas.
