PIAT 0 Posted November 10, 2010 We've been using 1/50 scale Corgi vehicles and 28mm historical WWII figures to add variety (and "normal WWII' stuff) to our games. Some vehicle ratings: Tiger II Speed 1; Tank 6; Health 4 Weapons: 8.8L71 (same as 8.8 on Ludwig) Hull MG44 & Coax MG44 (can't be used in same "fire" action as the 8.8 main gun) Notes: 8.8L71 had higher penetration than 8.8L56 mounted on the Ludwig but assume "double mount" gives about the same stats). Panther Speed 1 Fast; Tank 5; Health 4 Weapons: 7.5L70 (same as 17pounder) Hull MG44 & Coax MG44 (can't be used in same "fire" action as the main gun) Sherman M4E8 Speed 1 Fast; Tank 4; Health 4 Weapons: 7.6L52 (same as 17pounder v troops but roll one less die aganist tanks) Hull .30 & Coax .30 (can't be used in same "fire" action as the main gun) Halftracks (all sides) Speed 1 Fast; Tank 2; Health 3 Weapons: AA MG44 or .50 cal Can hold 2 Squads (German SPW 250 only 1). Squad can dismount into adjacent square by using move action. All tracked AFVs (like those listed above) reduce armor by 1 for shots originating from the flank/rear. "Grunts" Normal troops are Solider 1; Semi Auto Rilfes (Garands, GW43 etc.) are 1/1 aganist soliders and Tanks 1; Range 4 Bolt Action Rifles (Enfeield, Kr98 etc) are 1/2/1 v. soldiers and Tanks 1; Range 5 (in other words 2 soliders get 1 die - but round up) MP40/Thompson are 3/1 v. Solider 1; 1/1 v. other soldiers & Tank 1; Range 3 Sten/Grease Gun are the same but Range 2 PIstols are 1/1 v. Soldiers and Tank 1; Range 2 but count as Knife in Close Combat Most "Grunts" also have Knife & Grenade TomT
Vontickkraut 0 Posted November 21, 2010 My only thoughts are that the Panther should have a health of 3? It should have less then the King Tiger wouldnt you think?
wildger 2 Posted November 28, 2010 Here is the technical data I found from Dust Resource book, as a reference: Mickey M 45 walker - crew 2, 7.5 tons, 3.3 m tall, 3.8 m long, 2.1 m width, max 33 km/hr Luther fpz.kpfw. II Aust B - crew 1, 2.3 tons, 3.51 m tall, 2.8 m long, max 35 km/hr Koshka KV-47 tactical armor - crew 1, 4.2 tons, 2.5 m tall, 2 m long, 1.84 m width, max 25 km/hr US army captain - selfheating uniform w incorporated bulletproof vest Red army private - M1947 bullet proof body armor SSU special forces - M48 white camo uniforms with incorporated bullet proof vest The germans must have better technology in armor and engines. Otherwise, Luther will be "paper-thin" comparing to its Allies' counterparts. For reference, a transport truck weight around 3 tons.
BigDogg 18 Posted November 30, 2010 I guess the Panther sloped armor could provided its 4 health.
arkangl2 6 Posted December 2, 2010 Here's some extras I found for tanks. I tried to make the allied and axis have a counterpart tank due to the balancing in the game as of right now. Panzer IV Speed 1 Fast, Armor 4, HP 4, 7.5cm 48, 2 x 7.92mm/34Tiger I Speed 1 Fast, Armor 5, HP 4, 8.8cm 56, 2 x 7.92mm/34M24 Chaffee Speed 2 Fast, Armor 2, HP 3, 75mm/39 Same as Sherman, 2x .30cal, .50calM26 Pershing Speed 1 Fast, Armor 5, HP 4 90mm, 2 x .30cal, .50calM36 Tank Destroyer Speed 1 Fast, Armor 5, HP 4, 90mm, .50calT30 Speed 1, Armor 6, HP 6, 155mm, 7.62mmT20 Speed 1 Fast, Armor 4, HP 4, 76mm, 2x .30calM29 Weasel Speed 1 Fast, Armor 1, HP 2, Transport 1 SquadM41 Walker Bulldog Speed 1 Fast, Armor 3, HP 3, 76mm, .50cal, .30calJadtiger Speed 1, Armor 6, HP 6, 12.8cm 55, 7.92mm/34 Some of the people at the store I go to was also thinking of using superheroes that fought in WWII and remodeling some superheros miniature game models to use them as heroes. so far we've discussed them but nothing really in rules, but we have in mind is Captain America(Allies), Red Skull(Axis), Wolverine(Allies), Sabertooth(Axis) saying he joined the Axis after the issue that Wolverine went through weapon x during mid 1950s, Hellboy teenager, Kreonen(movie version more badass) or evil Hellboy. Some ideas we had is that captain america always gets cover and he gets hard cover when behind cover. Wolverine and Sabertooth have damage resilient.
