Thrakazog2 2 Posted September 11, 2010 I would think that they wouldn't be cheap but the average mercenary/adventurer should be able to afford one. I was thinking 2-5G for a riding horse and maybe double that for a destrierwarhorse. Maybe 1G for a mule? Am I off-base? Is there a general consensus? Thorvid 0 Posted September 11, 2010 I think that your prices look reasonable. I sold two of my player sway backed nags for 50 silver each. They prompltly left them at the inn they were stabled at after jumping on a wagon headed for a hunting lodge. Who knows if they will ever see their horses again. -Thorvid
Spivo 3 Posted September 12, 2010 A destrier warhorse should def cost more than just double the cost. Behind such a horse lies several years of extensive training, and they're also of good breed. And besides then there's the whole "It belonged to Earl Laurents son, who rode it in the fabbled battle against the orc hordes at..." If my players bought a "cheap" destrier warhorse, I'd hand it a few insanities (that fit animals) and say it was spoiled in some battle.
