Playgroup Organization

Recommended Posts

I was wondering how others have organized their playgroups. Right now I have 3 of us, myself, my fiance and a friend. Now the friend and fiance and I all like Stark. I have read the books so I love them, fiance thinks Eddard is cute(girls!) and has beat me soundly twice with the tully deck, and has only played twice, and the friend really likes the wolves and military of Stark. So I have given up on playing Stark and I am going to go with Baratheon as my primary(instead of secondary) and Greyjoy. The friend said he also likes Targaryen.

Now my question/point is how do others organize the houses among players. We have likely 1 and maybe 2 more players. One of them his last name is Martell so I have put all of my Martell cards together and extras so he has a deck of 60 plus 50 extra cards ready for him if he likes the game. None of us so far have expressed interest in Lannister. Am hoping the other friend will go with them and I will give him extra Lannister cards.

Do most groups have players that focus on one house ? 2 ? more? I was thinking if we all focused on 1 or 2 would be easier to trade and share cards together. I was thinking two so everyone had some variety although I know the fiance will probably stick with whatever I give her which will be Stark.

If we do 2 each is there some combinations that are better variety wise than others ? I know each faction can be pretty much tailored for any play style.

Anyone care to share how your groups work for ideas/info ?
