plutonick 0 Posted August 24, 2010 SPOILERS page 46 (semi last paragraph) states that ''... Like the lightning stone, the PCs will have to devise a safe way to transport this stone back to town - perhaps they can cannobalise the brass lighting rod from the mausoleum''. I fail to how cannibalizing the rod will help them transport the stone to town. What am I missing?
Captain Fluffy 0 Posted August 24, 2010 I think the idea is you strap the rod to the headstone and leave it trailing behind touching the ground (whether you are moving it by hand or on a cart). Then the theory goes that when lightning strikes the headstone it will take the easiest route to the ground - which will be through the rod rather than through one of the PCs. I simplified matters than just said that the headstone (and all fo the other stones for that matter) only attracted lightning when they had been static for 10 minutes. talesind 0 Posted September 1, 2010 The thing I'm wondering is would someone completely encased in plate and chainmail suffer the effects of lightning damage? Would his/her armour act as a faraday cage and carry the current over the surface of the armour instead of through it to the player? Or is a case of it's considered magical damage due to the circumstances of the adventure?
