how should you play this card?

say the board is open to yoiu and you succseed at all three stories, can you use one copy 3 times on all of the stories?

 Every time a card enters the discard pile and is returned to hand it is considered a new copy of that card.  So you could use it three times and it counts as 3 different cards.  (That happened to me in Worlds, by the way!)

Currently you can do all of this with endless interrogation:

1. You only need to succeed at one story.
2. As long as you keep paying 1 to return the card to your hand you can play it again in response to succeeding that the same story.
3. Thus on average, if you have 3 domains open, and you succeeded at story A. You can get your opponent to discard up to 4 cards at random (done so one at a time) provided that you play it even though all of your domains are drained.
4. Its Magnus Recommended!
5. Its a broken card that will likely see nerf or banning in the next eratta/faq. So use it wisely!
6. It has a 33% chance of making your opponent cry or become angry. (thats 33% per emotion)
7. Cornflakes!

PS. I hear this card wins championships and it has a lot of text so it must be good.

Now why in the world would someone do that to a wonderful Professor trying to use his Grad Students to do some research?  That's just mean.

So to clarify, the success at the the story is the by placing a token at the end of the icon struggles.?

I take it you dont get to discard a card for each success, ie 1 for investigation, 1 for skill?

No no no.  Those are icon struggles.

"Success" is when you win the skill check.

Sure. Thay had plenty of time to ban this one. But it's still here and everywhere.

Since world's 2009 and Stahleck 2009 this card is known as broken. It 's not a surprise. Because there is no well rule to play it, it should be banned. We asked that to FFG since one year !
