fragmaster2 0 Posted December 24, 2008 I'm copy-pasting my question from BGG hoping for an official answer: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As I read the Spawn Broodling card I realized that it doesn't mention Dark Templars. I believe this may not be the "designer's intend" and this ability is supposed to kill all "flesh and blood" units including Dark Templars. An official answer about this will be most welcome! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Boromir 2 Posted December 24, 2008 I noticed the same thing, also the Medic is not effected by Spawn Broodling. And I also noticed that Irradiate has not changed either, I wonder if it was intentional that the Dark Templar en the Medic are immune to Spawn Broodling and Irradiate. Stefan 732 Posted December 24, 2008 I think since the Archons are not affectable by Spawn Brooding, the Dark Templars aren't, too.
YourBestFriend 1 Posted December 24, 2008 There are a handful of unit types unaffected by Spawn Broodling that would be affected in the video game. There are no typos however, and the printed card is how I intended (due to balanced issues ect).
Hius 0 Posted December 24, 2008 Maybe it's because the dark templar is cloaked and it is impossible to use a detector like in the video game.

I am all about game balance and I don't really care at all about how it works in the PC game so I'm satisfied with your answer.

No, it's still possible with an air support module, or Parasite if you defend. And I'm also fine if this makes sure the game is balanced.
